What is IELTS
The international English language testing
system (IELTS) is the worlds most popular
English language proficiency test for higher
education and global migration.
What is TOEFL
TOEFL, is a standardized test to measure
the English language ability of non-native
speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking
universities. The test is accepted by many
English-speaking academic and professional
institutions.
Difference Between IELTS
& TOEFL
Though both exams consist of four sections ( Listening, Reading,
Speaking, Writing) but the exam format & the question pattern is different
TOEFL exam questions are almost entirely multiple choice, whereas
IELTS requires you to respond to a range of different question types such
as short answer, gap-filling and short essay tasks
The IELTS is significantly shorter than the TOEFL exam, taking
approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes versus four hours to complete.
TOEFL exam is done entirely on the computer, whereas IELTS exam is
completed on paper

Listening
TOEFL
The TOEFL test is multiple choice only, so if you like those questions this might be the test
for you.
You will be required to take notes whilst listening and answer a series of multiple choice
questions afterwards
The TOEFL test will always be standard American English.
TOEFL Listening Section presents 2-3 longer conversations and 4-6 lectures. The situations
are always related to university life (e.g: a conversation between a student and a librarian
about finding research materials). All questions are multiple choice and ask you about
important details, inferences, tone, and vocabulary.

The IELTS listening test is 30 minutes.

Reading
TOEFL
The TOEFL reading test is made up of three-four reading sections. You will
have 20 minutes to complete each section, each drawn from academic
content.
You will have to answer a series of multiple choice questions testing how
well youve understood the texts.
IELTS
The IELTS reading test has three sections each 20 minutes long and with
texts academic in nature
There are different types of questions which IELTS may choose to use.
These include: short answer, multiple choice, match a heading,
True/False/Not Given, complete a summary, locate the information and
