THE united nations populations fund
(UNFPA), formerly the united nations fund
for population activities, is a UN
organization.

The UNFPA says it is the lead UN agency


for delivering a world where every
pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is
safe and every young persons potential is
fulfilled.
UNFPA MISSION
STATEMENT
UNFPA, the united nations populations fund,
is an international development agency that
promotes the right of every women, man and
child to enjoy a life of health and equal
opportunity.
UNFPA supports countries in using population

data for policies and programmes to reduce


poverty and to ensure that every pregnancy
is wanted, every birth is safe, every young
person is free of HIV/AIDS, and every girl and
women is treated with dignity and respect
