INTRODUCTION
The geology of Muna Island still rare to be observed. The
observation has ever commited but only as mapping its
regional geology, hydrogeology survey and identification
of existence of the karst phenomenons.
Muna island is an archipelago that consists of limestone
lithology which is formed a shape area with a lithology
that easy to solve in the water.
It signs athe unique relief, the disorder channel, the river
flows that suddenly come into the ground and leave for
the dry valley, and showed in another place as water
source that formed becomes natural feature, or in the
other words called as karst.
METHODOLOGY OF RESEARCH
Observation
Method that using to observed the nature description and the caves
of karst with the direct observe way to the field. This method can get
accurately and credible data causes by commited an observation as
directly to the field. The observation executed to know the part of the
karst caves.
The field data that taken in karst shape area at karst caves in Muna
Island includes stalactite, stalagmite, pilar and other reliefs. The
mentioned parts scattered almost in karst caves. Stalactite, stalagmite,
pole formed by limestone lithology. In the cave known the underground
river.

DISCUSSION
The earth heritage or geology heritage (geoheritage). Muna island
includes in the category outstanding universal value which deserve to
protect based on the category of World Heritage Commision or UNESCO.
Besides of the unique and distinct of earth surface shape, few of its caves
has prehistory painting with the distinct images that never found before.
The images in the caves are dominantly descripted the hunter activities
which involved types of four leg animals, fight action, boat, moon and sun
or many human features with any activities and abstract wtitten that not
can be interpreted.

The development of the geo-tourism of Muna karst eventhough
has high potential but it still find many hinds. The far and expensive
achievement, less than unquality human resources, and not
available analytic and interpretation is a hinds that should be
handed as soon as possible. The following karst cave which there in
Muna Island tha has observed.

Besides the cave, another karst phenomenon that observed is a
cycle sinkhole (dolina) contain with salty water that is Napabale
Lake. This Lake located in Lohia District. It contains salty water
because inter-connecting with sea water through a cave.

Conclusion
1. The composition of lithology in observation area is mostly consists of
crystalline limestone in the top of the karst cave (Sugipatani) and bioclatic
limestone in the lower area. As geomorphologically, according to Balazs
classification, the karst which is developing in this area is Gunung Sewu
types that changed into Yangzhou types, perhaps causes by active lifting.
The active lifting also signed with caves that developed in Northern Muna
tends to be a shelter cave which is not give a long paths.Generally
controlled by feature of layers
2. The ornament of cave consists of stalagtite, stalagmite, pole, subsurface
river and cave doors that its formation has stopped. Added with many
prehistory paintings in cave wall which increases the value of the karst
cave history of Muna Island
3. The development of geotourism (or eco-tourism and cultural tourism) is
very potential to be developed. But with the limitation of human resources
and far relative reachness. So the development will be limited and more
tend to become especially tourism desire will be possible protected the
earth heritage of Muna Island from the damage and negative impact of
mass-tourism
