up the whole.

Documented study of a specific real-life situation or imagined scenario, used as a
training tool in business schools and firms. Students or trainees are required to
analyze the prescribed cases and present their interpretations or solutions,
supported by the line of reasoning employed and assumptions made.
* To give your proponent more information about
the project through investigation of existing
structures or otherwise which are related to
the one being proposed.
* Actual gathering of information from existing
local structures is highly advisable.
* A combination of three(3) Case Studies shall be
presented:
* Set of two foreign and one local
* Set of two local and one foreign
* FOR EACH CASE STUDY:
* Title and Sources
* Summary
* Critique
* Significance
* Objective
* Analytical Framework
* Description and comparative analysis of the cases
* Recommendation for application
TITLE AND SOURCES
WRITTEN CASE STUDY
* Who is the author of the case study?
* What is the title and date of the publication?
* Consider items which will reflect the reliability of
your source.
* SUMMARY

* Talk about what the case study is all about

briefly.
* Critiquing is an important aspect of the Case Study.
* The term 'critique' derives, via French, from
Ancient Greek (kritik), meaning "the
faculty of judgement", that is, discerning the
value of persons or things.
* Oxford English Dictionary
* Critique is a method of disciplined, systematic
analysis of a written or oral discourse.
* Wikipedia
* A critique is a critical essay or commentary,
especially on artistic work.
* Collins English Dictionary
* The critique should include photos,
illustrations of case studies showing plans and
other architectural presentations.
* SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CASE TO BE STUDIED
* What is the importance of this study to your
project?
* OBJECTIVES OF THE CASE STUDIES
* How can the case studies be beneficial to your
project?
* What lessons do you want to obtain from the
case studies?
* ANALYTICAL FRAMEWORK
* The purpose of an analytical framework is
to give the study an analytic and disciplined
methodology allowing a systematic
evaluation of the data and thus enable the
researcher to identify the main data needed
to come to a conclusion. Jennifer C Barrett

* How did you go about or what are the

approaches that you have adapted in your
analysis of the case studies?

The Mall of Asia Arena was conceptualized to be an architectural
eyecon as part of the vision of the owners of the Mall of Asia of
changing the game, elevating entertainment. This is evident in the
shape of its faade. Its aesthetics and details of its construction were
thoroughly conceptualized and well studied.
It has private deluxe rooms which are rented out and equipped with
restrooms, mini bars, comfortable furniture, and glass-paneled viewing
decks. Restaurants are found on the first, second, and third levels.
There is also a club lounge for its members. To comply with
international standards, there are four dug-outs with shower rooms and
dressing rooms, mess hall for the technical team, a press room, and
meet and-greet areas. Parking is provided through the car park and
the MAAX parking building which accommodates 1,400 cars. There are
10 elevators and 34 escalators. The total area is 64,085 sq.m. with a
seating capacity of 15,000 and a full-house capacity of 20,000.
Critique: The plan for a basketball stadium reflects the concept of the
arena as an eyecon. The second scheme reflects its flexibility to be
used as a venue for other purposes like concerts.
The flexibility of the plan allows
different arrangements and
prices based on what event was
happening.
This photo taken from the General Admission area shows that there is still a
good panoramic view of the ongoing basketball games from the highest point.
This photo was taken from the fourth floor shows the expanse of the
basketball court which follow international standards.
This photo taken from the second lobby offers a vantage view
of the court and players of an ongoing game.
This photo shows the arrangement of the various seats in the arena which
follows regularity in its whole length except for the sides which are divided into
pie slices. It means more people can enjoy the shows or games.
View of the ceiling showing steel supports to the roof, lighting and
supports for the electronic scoreboard. This shows the structural
system for the ceiling.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The MOA ARENA is an important example of a stadium that can be an
international venue for concerts and sports.
OBJECTIVES:
As an international venue, the way that the facilities have been
designed and its compliance with international standards can be a guide
in the development of the thesis on similar sports facilities.

Design and construction of more self-sustained developments which can help
beneficiaries have additional income sources to help pay for housing costs.

Law that prohibits a change in project classification and land use.

Beneficiaries should be involved at the start of the project for assessment of their
expectations especially for their affordability level. Other poverty assessments
should be done at an interval of 5 years after occupation of units to assess benefits
and problems.
* If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God,
who gives to all men generously and without
reproach and it will be given to him.
* But let him ask in faith without any doubting. For
the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea
driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man
expect that he will receive anything from the
Lord. (James 1:5-7)
* But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews
and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the
wisdom of God. (1 Corinthians 1:24)
