Blue in colour,not easily observed,little or no soot
seen,caused by complete burning(combustion) of
gas and oxygen mixture,steady flame,much hotter
than luminous flame,good for substance that
needs quick heating and high
temperature,obtained when collar uncovers air
hole fully.
Yellow in colour,easily observed,may have trail
of soot,cause by incomplete
burning(combustion)of gas since little oxygen
is present,unsteady flame,good for substance
that requires slow heating,obtained when
collar covers air hole fully/partially.
