 Part 1: Report some last actions

1-Insulation work for bare equipment and piping systems: 80%

2-Installed two isolating devices for BH1, and one for canning line,
together with their heat-up valves.
3-Replaced/ repaired 10 sets of steam traps.
4-Complete installation of 04 new boiler feed water pumps that have
higher efficiency and better performance.
5-Finish making layouts for steam and air distribution and
condensate collecting system.
6-Preparing to install Spirax-Sarco steam flowmeters for boiler 1&2
for measuring steam quantity generated: 70%. Completion in
November.
7-Complete installing 02 in-line CO2 purity meters for by-pass
supplying for saving electricity consumption at Haffmans and Seeger
plants.
8-Optimized 03 piping systems.

November 2003.
The heater of Zone 1 has been designed. It will
be installed after TET.

1-Housekeeping

-To continue the insulation works for bare piping systems and
removable insulation blocks for valve and fittings. To be complete before 15-
11-03.
-To installed 02 steam flowmeters for 02 10t/h boilers. Make
generated steam totalizer for boiler No 3. To be complete before 30-11-03.
-To installed 03 feed water flowmeters for 03 boilers. To be
complete before 31-12-03.
-To prepare some short training modules: STEAM TRAP SELECTION
AND CHECKING TECHNIC, CORRECT PIPING INSTALLATION.
-Complete installation of main condensate return flowmeters before
31-11-03
-Complete making all steam/air/condensate layouts and indicate all
necessary metering points. Before 31-10-03.

2-Low Cost execution

-To continue modification of some more incorrect steam/ condensate
piping systems for better performance and avoiding of water hammer.

EX.: Split-up condensate lines of

BH1 and BH2- Week 39.

-Complete installation of two new burners for boiler 1&2 before 20-
10-03.

3-Retrofit
-Studying on installation of electronic de-scaler for boiler make-up
water. SOFPAC ELECTRONIC DESCALERs specialist has been invited to discuss
and have made an investigation.
01 set will be installed at the second NH3 evaporative condenser.
Another set will be installed at boilers softener.
