STRESS?
Stress is your bodys way of
responding to any kind of demand
or threat. When the stress affects
both our mental and physical
health they are bad.

STRESSORS?
An agent or stimulus that causes stress.
STRESS MANAGEMENT
Stress management includes techniques by which an
individual copes
up with stress.
Stress management helps to understand that stress is a
part of everyones life.
Focuses on how student feeling and what they can do to
control the stress they may have in their life.

Why stress management for students is important?


Students are having stressful life now a days. The more stressed
out we are the more vulnerable things. we are to colds, flu, and a
host of chronic or life-threatening illnesses. So students must know
about many ways to manage the stress.

1 . BREATHE EASILY
Breathing from your diaphragm
oxygenates your blood, which helps
you relax almost instantly.
To breathe deeply begin by
putting your hand on your
abdomen just below the navel.

Inhale slowly through your nose


and watch your hand move out
as your belly expands.

Hold the breath for a few


seconds, then exhale slowly.

Repeat several times.


2. DONT SKIP BREAKFAST

many students skip


breakfast which is not good for
their health. Skipping breakfast
affects their metabolism which
leads to stress. Have a good
breakfast to start everyday.
3.Dont try to be too
much perfect
Researchers say that
students who are too
much perfect have high
stress level. So we should
not be too much perfect.
But that doesnt mean
that we should be
imperfect.
4. CELEBRATE
Celebrate birthdays and
other holidays turn more
events into special
occasions. Even little
celebration brings a lot of
fun.

5. BEING FUNNY
Try to find something
funny in a difficult situation.
Being funny always helps.
You can improve your
humour sense by reading
jokes from internet and
seeing some funny videos

6. PRAY
If spiritual, pray speak
to god a higher power or
your inner guide. Prayer
helps us to get relief from
stress

7. Motivation
Give yourself praise and
positive strokes. If there no
one to motive you don't
worry you have internet.
You can get motivational
quotes from Facebook.

8.HAVE BREAKS
Take breaks in-
between the studies. Breaks
are the great way by which
we can keep away stress.
eat some snacks and have
some soft drinks during your
breaks.

9. GET GOOD SLEEP.
stress can make it
difficult for you to
sleep, and you may
develop sleep
problems. Being well-
rested can increase
your ability to deal with
difficult situations.

10. Reward yourself for
achievement
even small things like
finishing a piece of work or
making a decision. You
could take a walk, read a
book, treat yourself to
food you enjoy, or simply
tell yourself well done

11. RESOLVE CONFLICTS
If you can, although this
can sometimes be hard,
speaking to a manage,
colleague or family member
about problems in your
relationship with them can
help you find ways to move
forward.

12.Look after yourself.
If someone around
you is very stressed, you
might become stressed
too. If this happens, try to
take a step back and look
after your own wellbeing.
Being calm and relaxed
will make you more able
to help someone else.

13. LEARN HOW TO
SAY NO
Known your limits
and do not compromise
them. Taking on more
than you can handle is
not a good choice. It is
ok if you dont do every
single activity that your
club, fraternity, sorority
or your friends are
doing.

Movies give us

holidays to GO to a

Take time out of
your busy life to see
some of your

Share your feelings
with your friends. Dont
forgot to have fun With
them you can go out
with friends and get new
experiences. Spending
time with friends will
eliminate stress quickly

16. USE SMILEY FACE
STRESS BALL
It is scientifically
proven that squeezing
stress ball will reduce
stress and anxiety. Use
them regularly and also
during your break time

INSIGHTS

If students experience too much stress


called distress, their bodies become
alarmed. They do poorly because they
cannot concentrate and recall what they
studied. As a result they feel anxious and
panicky. Too much distress can create a
stress overload and become unmanageable
resulting in physical and mental problems. 24
