1. HSE Plan
HSEP due fifteen (15) days after kick-off meeting

Must be site specific


Must be reviewed by PMT & ISD Loss Prevention

Contractor shall assign a full-time HSE Manager


to coordinate the program

2. Hazard Identification Plan (HIP)


Submitted as part of HSEP or separately
Hazards identified and recommendations made
Must be reviewed by PMT & ISD Loss Prevention
Due before start of any Contractual Work

4. Work Permits
Work permit is required for any work to be carried out
during each shift
KJO Certification required for RECEIVERS
Receivers shall have relevant experience to obtain work
permit

5. Personal Protective Equipment


Minimum requirements Safety Shoes, Safety Helmets,
Safety Glasses as mentioned in Schedule D

6. Scaffolds
Scaffold drawings must be submitted to PMT for
review prior to erection
Scaffolds above 40ft require review by ISD &
engineering group
Proper scaffolding building materials
Trained and certified scaffold supervisors and crew
Use of Scaffold Tags
Fall protection mandatory above 6 ft

7. Trenches and Excavations


Shoring, Benching, Sloping required at 4 ft (1.2m)
Excavation permits, proper barricades, and
underground utilities/piping checked.
Shoring Plans submitted for review prior to fabrication
Proper shoring materials, slope & spoils
Ensure that all excavation work is carried out
according to the requirements of the KJO Safety
Manual.

8. Cranes and Lifting Equipment


All cranes with third party certificates and operators &
riggers certified
Lifting appliances shall be accompanied with the
manufacturers data sheets/certificates

9. Hand & Portable Power Tools


Tools shall be equipped with proper safeguards and shall
be free from any defects
Portable power tools shall be of the double insulated type
or three-wire grounded type

10. Welding & Cutting Equipment


All welding and cutting equipment shall comply with
best industry standards
Flashback arrestors at gauges

11. Electrical Installations and Equipment


Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters(GFCI)
125 Volt maximum for electrically operated portable
hand tools
Wiring must be 3-wire system and plugs must be 3-
prong type

12. Traffic Safety


Construction site Traffic flow Plan & Sketch
Seat belts for all drivers and passengers. No riding
in back/on vehicles.
Strict control of work-related traffic violations as
part of Contractor HSE Plan

13. Heavy Equipment


Operators with 3rd party certification
Back-up alarms/spotters & roll-over protection
Fuel trucks shall meet all safety requirements

Provide and maintain suitable fire fighting
equipment in good working order.
All Contractor personnel shall be properly
trained in the use of portable fire
extinguishers.
