Alarm Notification
SNMP Traps
Alarm notification messages sent to defined Trap receiver when alarm
event occurs. Trap filter for event must be enabled.
Ring Broken Trap
When enabled, a Trap is generated when the link status of a ring port
goes down. This Trap can be used to identify the location of a ring
failure, as it is generated by the stations next to the ring break.
This Trap should be enabled on all devices in the ring.
Ring Alarm Trap
When enabled, a Trap is generated when a switch in the ring reports a
ring failure. This Trap can be used to get a global alarm that the
ring is broken. It should only be enabled on one device (typically
the master) or two devices for redundancy.
