Christmas in United States
Christmas in United States
Christmas in the United States is a
celebration that is already framed within the
so-called "holiday season" that begins the
fourth Thursday of November with
Thanksgiving Day and ends on January 6.
With the beginning of the holiday season, in
some big cities like New York a big parade is
organized with the figure of Santa Claus: it is
the indication that the Christmas shopping
season is started.
Christmas Decoration

A feature of the northern

country is that Christmas
decorations are the order of
the day not just in homes but
in public places. Christmas
trees, garlands and allegorical
decorations flood the streets,
squares and shops throughout
December.
Christmas Lights

Another detail of the Christmas in the

United States is that all the houses
usually decorate their exterior with
elaborate decorations of colored lights
and that they form splendid designs of
illumination forming figures like
Christmas trees and Santas.
Christmas Dinner

The classic Christmas dinner usually includes turkey,

mashed potatoes with sauce and salted cakes. A traditional
Christmas Eve drink is liquor or egg punch, made of milk,
cream, sugar, eggs, and brandy or rum. As in the United
Kingdom, the turkey is stuffed and is accompanied by sauce
and various garnishes.
As for desserts we can also find the most typical, that is,
fruit cake (especially apple or pumpkin pie), the famous
Christmas pudding or sweet ginger.
Christmas in El Salvador
Christmas in El Salvador

In El Salvador, Christmas is a time to consecrate

oneself to God, to enjoy with loved ones, and
something very traditional in Salvadoran soil: to
receive relatives who come from abroad to spend
holidays in their native land.Likewise, taking
advantage of the holidays to visit family
members living outside the city is also part of the
celebration.
Families Parties

Salvadoran families usually gather for

Christmas in order to share with all the
food, gratitude, a prayer at midnight but
also, to celebrate in dance and with
music, coexistence and harmony. The
parties in which they focus most are
usually on December 24 and 31.
Christmas Dinner

can't miss in Christmas Salvadoran, is

the good food. tamales, Turkey,
chicken, breads with chicken India,
chicken, lomo filling and many
delights more are some of the meals
that are part of the tables Salvadoran.
Artificial Lights

Another detail is the sound of the famous

"rockets" and the joy of gunpowder in
Salvadoran houses. It is very common to
find mortars, pickaxes, fulminants,
whistlers, machine guns, Chinese lights
and many elements of gunpowder that
cheer with fireworks and homes in El
Salvador.
Christmas Shopping

Another of the most representative customs

of Christmas in El Salvador are the
agglomerations of people willing to buy
their Christmas presents and the already
known "new clothes" in the most
representative shopping centers of the
country. The sales until dawn and all night
activity in malls, clothing stores, appliances
and many stores, is part of the Christmas
atmosphere in El Salvador.
Christmas Decoration

The color can not be missing in the

Salvadoran Christmas party and that is
why many citizens decide to invest in
their home to set them and decorate
them with lights, trees, garlands and
many more elements to fix your home
according to the time of celebration.
