Findings
Grade VI students were able to
answer correctly less than 50% of
questions asked in Science,
Mathematics and English.
A mean percentage score of only
50% was achieved.
An overcrowded curriculum
especially in Grade I-III resulted in
poor performance of pupils in
elementary grades. Students
needed longer time in Science and
Mathematics.
Students are deficient in reading
ability. Students have not
developed the HOTS even at Grade
V. Theres a danger of returning to
illiteracy if the students dropped
out before completing Grade VI.
