OUR

SYSTEM
Our systems are resposible for different things for the body to make the
body work better.

In this presentation we are going to explain five systems:

The Digestive System

The Respiratory System
The Circulatory System
The Reproductive System
The Excretory System

THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
Digestion is the process of braking down food into nutrients that our body can use.
Digestion takes place in the digestive system.

The digestive system begins in the mouth,

where our teeth brake down food and mixses
with saliva. This mixture is called a bolus. The
bolus reaches to the pharynx and goes down to
the oesophagus.

Then the bolus reaches the stomach wich

produces gastric juices. These juices break
down food even further forming a mixture called
chyme.

The chyme travels to the small intesting which

produces intestinal juices. Theses juices
combine with bile produced in the liver , and
pancreatic juice produced in the pancreas. The
chyme becomes a milky liquid called chyle.
Nutrients are absorved into blood in the small
intestine.

In the large intestine water is absorved and the

remianing undigested food parts turn into solid
faeces. Feaces leave the body through the
anus.
THE RESPIRATORY
Respiration is the process by which we breath in or inhale to obtain the
oxygen ourSYSTEM
body needs, and we breath out or exhale to eliminate the
carbon dioxide our body produces. Respiration takes place in the
respiratory system.
When we inhale air enters through the nostrils,
goes through the pharynx and travels down the
larynx and the trachea. The trachea is divided into
two branches called the bronchi. The bronchi
takes the air into both lungs.

Inside the lungs, the bronchi are divided into

smaller branches called bronchioles. The
bronchioles guide to the air sacs. Air sacs are
moist surfaces in the lungs where gas exchanges
takes place.

The air sacs in the lungs are surrounded by small

blood vessels.

The oxygen in the air we inhale passes from the

air sacs into the blood. The blood carries the
oxygen to all the cells in our body.

The carbon dioxide produced by all the body cells

travels through the blood and passes into the air sacs.
THE CIRCULATORY
SYSTEM
*BLOOD
Blood is a liquid substances in our body that
reaches all the body cells:
-Plasma
-Red blood cells-White blood cells-platelets
*BLOOD VESSELS
Blood vessels are tubes which transpor blood
throug the body:
-Arteries-Veins-Capillaries
*HEART
The heart is a special type of muscle. It acts as a
pump to send blood around the body throug the
blood vessels.
*PULMONARY CIRCULATION
Alows for the exchange of gases in the
lungs. This circuit carries blood to the lungs to
expel carbon dioxide.
*SYSTEMIC CIRCULATION
Alows for the exchange of nutrients, gases and
waste products in the body cells.
REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
*PUBERTY
Puberty is the stage of life when a
reproductive organs become funcional and
secondary sexual characteristics develop(it
also causes emotional changes).Puberty may
take place between the ages of 10 and 14 in
girls, and 12 and 16 in boys.

*FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

The female reproductive system consists of
several organs:
-ovaries
-fallopian tubes
-uterus or womb
-vagina-vulva.

*MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

The male reproductive system consists of
following organs
:-testes
-sperm ducts
-prostate gland and semen
-urethra
-penis
REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

*PREGNANCY
-The embryo sorrunded by a sac called
amnion
-A new organ placenta inside the uterus , the
embryo and the placenta are conected by
the umbilical cord.

*BIRTH
Brirth happens at the end of pregnancy
-fist stage
-second stage
-third stage

*LACTATION
Is the piriod when the mothers breasts
produce milk.
THE EXCRETORY
SYSTEM
The human excretory system functions to
remove waste from the human body.
The excretory system is very important to your
body and only has a few parts
The results of the excretory system as urine
-Kidneys
The kidney's primary function is the elimination
of waste from the bloodstream by production of
urine. Excrete toxic metabolic by-products such
as urea, ammonia, and uric acid.
Ureter
The ureters are muscular ducts that propel
urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder..
Urethra
In anatomy, the (from Greek - ourethra) is a
tube which connects the urinary bladder to the
outside of the body.
