Introduction
The 21st century being the so-called Age of Technology,
brings about an influx of change in the way students learn.
technology may likely boost the learning acquisition of the

students because they have an easy access to information

which is more convenient than the traditional modes like

going to the library to scan for books which may be

unavailable or outdated.
Theoritical
In B. F. Skinners Behaviorism, the major theories as
pertaining to education are reinforcement, verbal behavior
theories, and social development theories.
Behaviorist reinforcement theory still impacts education
widely today, especially when looking at educational
technology.
This idea has been molded into many educational practices,
and the idea of reinforcement has had many implications for
educational technology specifically.
Legal basis
ARTICLE XIV, SECTION 10 of The Philippine Constitution
states that Science and technology are essential for national
development and progress.
It was stated that the state shall give priority to the
development of science and technology education and
training services which support the countrys productive
systems and national life that includes progressive learning
of a students.
Review on Related Literature
According to at the University of Pittsburgh Bradford, examined the impact of
student mobile phone usage on student learning. Although Wei et al. were some
of the first scholars to examine this effect, their study relied on self-report data
and measured perceived cognitive learning and did not measure actual
cognitive learning.
Magwa Simuforosa (2013) studied the impact of modern
technology on the educational attainment of adolescents. The
purpose was to examine the relationship between adolescent
usage of computers and academic performance.
According to McGraw-Hill Education's report: "The Impact of
Technology on College Student Study Habits," surveyed 2,657
college students aged 18+ who are currently enrolled in higher
education institutions across the United States. Respondents
were from a mix of majors and grade levels, ranging from
freshman to senior students.
Statement of the problem
1. The purpose of these study is to determine the
demographic profile of the respondent in terms of;

Age
Gender
Civil status
Time allotted for using their gadgets
Time allotted for study
2. What are the perceived effects of technological gadgets in
relation to the study habits of the Criminology student of the
University of Bohol?

3. What is the significant relationship between the perceived


impact of technologic1al gadgets to the profile of the students
in terms of age, gender, time allotted for using their gadgets
and time allotted for studying?
Significance of study
The outcome of this study is valuable to the following;

The student
The faculty member
The parents
The community

This study employed the descriptive-correlation
method utilizing a researcher-made the questionnaire
that uses a certain process.

Research environment
The research will be held in the Third Floor of
Science and Technology Building particularly
in the Criminology Department at the
University of Bohol. This is located in Dr.
Cecilio Putong Street, Tagbilaran City. The
study covers twenty-five (25) Criminology
students in first-year and Second-year level,
twenty-five (25) Students at third-year and
fourth-year level summing-up to one hundred
(100) respondents.

Research respondents
Our respondents is criminology students of
University of Bohol and there will be twenty-five
(25) Criminology students in first-year and Second-
year level, twenty-five (25) Students at third-year
and fourth-year level enrolled in Bachelor of Science
in Criminology at the University of Bohol involved in
the research study. The total respondents of this
study will be one hundred (100) respondents .
Research instrument
The prime tool for the gathering of data is a
researcher-made questionnaire that deals
with The Impact of Technological Gadgets to
the Study Habits of College of Criminology
of the University of Bohol.
Research procedure
The researcher will also set a limit of one hundred (100)
respondents. The data will be gathered through the use of
questionnaire wherein the respondents are given explanations
on how to answer the tool.
They will be guided while answering the questionnaire to make
sure that the respondents will answer the questions as required.
The data will be collected in tables and will be subjected to
statistical treatment to test the hypotheses.
