Life Cycle Of Fly

The life cycle of flies undergo complete metamorphosis, with egg stage,
larva or maggot, pupa or chrysalis and adult flies. The development of
the flies take between 7-22 days, depending on temperature and food
available. Female flies have been able to produce eggs at the age of 4-8
days, with the number of eggs as much as 75-150 grains in one laying.

First Stadium (Stadium Eggs)

Berikut masing-masing stadium dalam perkembangannya lalat :

Stadium Pertama (Stadium Telur)
Stadium ini berlangsung selama 12-24 jam. Bentuk telur lalat adalah oval
panjang dan berwarna putih, besar telur 0,8-2 mm. Telur dapat dihasilkan oleh
lalat betina sebanyak 150-200 butir. Lamanya stadium ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh
faktor panas dan kelembaban, tempat bertelur dimana semakin panas semakin
cepat menetas dan berlaku sebaliknya. Telur diletakkan pada bahan-bahan
organik yang lembab seperti sampah, kotoran binatang, kotoran manusia atau
bahan-bahan lain yang berasal dari binatang dan tumbuhan yang membusuk.

Second stage (stage larva or maggot)

This stage consists of three levels, namely:

Level I --- newly hatched eggs are called instars I, a length of 2 mm, white, not-eyed
and legless and very active and vicious to food, after 1-4 days removing the skin and
out into instar II.

Level II --- The size is twice of instar I, after a few days the skin will flake off and exit
the third instar and many moves.

3.

Level III --- larvae measuring 12 mm or more, this level takes 3-9 days, the larvae do
not move much, the larvae move to a dry and cool place to turn into pupae.

Stadium Kedua (Stadium Larva atau Tempayak)

Stadium ini terdiri dari 3 tingkatan yaitu:

Tingkat I --- Telur yang baru menetas disebut instar I, berukuran panjang 2 mm,
berwarna putih, tidak bermata dan berkaki, sangat aktif dan ganas terhadap
makanan, setelah 1-4 hari melepas kulit dan keluar menjadi instar II.

Tingkat II --- Ukuran besarnya dua kali dari instar I, setelah beberapa hari maka kulit
akan mengelupas dan keluar instar III dan banyak bergerak.

6.

Tingkat III --- Larva berukuran 12 mm atau lebih, tingkat ini memerlukan waktu 3-9
hari, larva tidak banyak bergerak, larva berpindah ke tempat yang kering dan sejuk
untuk berubah menjadi kepompong.

Third stage (pupa or cocoon stage)

At this stage, the larvae turn into body tissues of the adult body
tissues, this stage lasts 3-9 days or depending on the local
temperature favored approximately 35 C. The pupa is dark brown
and oval shaped. At this stage, the larval body has become mature,
less mobile (do not move at all). Once this stage is completed then
through a gap in the anterior circle will come out of young flies

Stadium Ketiga (Stadium Pupa atau Kepompong)

Pada stadium ini jaringan tubuh larva berubah menjadi jaringan
tubuh dewasa, stadium ini berlangsung 3-9 hari atau tergantung
suhu setempat yang disenangi lebih kurang 35C. Pupa ini
berwarna coklat hitam dan berbentuk lonjong. Pada stadium ini
tubuh larva telah menjadi dewasa, kurang bergerak (tak bergerak
sama sekali). Setelah stadium ini selesai maka melalui celah
lingkaran pada bagian anterior akan keluar lalat muda

Fourth stage (stage Flies Adults)

This stage is the last stage that is already tangible insect that
flies. To become adult flies are mature and ready for mating
takes approximately 15 hours. Age of adult flies can reach 2-4
weeks. We need to know the factors local temperature, humidity
and food available affect the growth from egg to fly well into
adult flies.

Stadium Keempat (Stadium Lalat Dewasa)

Stadium ini adalah stadium terakhir yang sudah berwujud
serangga yaitu lalat. Untuk menjadi lalat dewasa yang matang
dan siap untuk melakukan perkawinan memerlukan waktu
kurang lebih dari 15 jam. Umur lalat dewasa dapat mencapai 2-4
minggu. Perlu kita ketahui faktor suhu setempat, kelembaban
udara dan makanan yang tersedia berpengaruh terhadap
pertumbuhan lalat baik dari telur hingga menjadi lalat dewasa.
