What are depressions?

Depressions are one of the predominant features in
sheet metals & plastic parts. They are added to allow
for intrusions of any structure.
They are used to strengthen panel and provide planar
face for welded or mechanical attachments. A pocket
represents concave form below the attachment face. A
pad represent convex form above the attachment face.
