Plastic Waste
Into Fuel

Reason to
do the
project

Garbage is a big problem faced by almost all

countries in the world. Not only in developing
countries but also in developed countries,
garbage is always a problem. On average each
day, the major cities in Indonesia produce
dozens tons of waste. The rubbish was
transported by special trucks and dumped or
stacked away in a place that has been provided,
without any further action. From day to day, the
garbage continues to pile up and there was a
hill of garbage as we often see.
Plastic waste is waste that most
discarded by humans because many people are
using plastic to their needs. For example, we
need plastic to bring our groceries. If it was not
used, whether the plastic will be saved? Not
right. What do they do? They discard and burn
it.

Disposing plastic waste into water into water

and soil has increased the level of suffering
nature. Why that? Pastic waste are made from
inorganic materials. Inorganic materials are very
difficult and not possible decomposed by bacteria.
When it deposited in the soil, it takes millions of
years to decompose it. And if it burned, it will only
be a blob and it took a long time to decompose.
And did you know the consequence if it is too long
plastic waste buried in the ground and stacked?
First, the global warming impact on human life
itself. In addition to the unpleasant smell, garbage
can also bring desease.
Second, have an impact on marine animals,
because they can die if they swallow plastic
waste. What must we do now is not hostile the
plastic, but finding the right formula to speed up
the process of decomposition of the plastic to get
back to nature. One of them by changing into fuel.

Procedure
1. Make a hole through the top
right of the cans using a drill
approximately 1 cm in diameter

2.Glue the antenna to the hole

that was created earlier, wait
until the glue dries, so the
antenna blends with cans

3. Enter plastic waste and lid tightly

4. Turn on the stove, then place

the pre-filled garbage cans on
top

5. Put the glass bottle on the end

of the antenna as a reservoir of
steam

6. When the waste bin is heated to

melt, then the plastic waste will
produce gas.

7. When the plastic waste into gas, the

gas is condensed through
condensation process. So it can
produce crude oil

8. To prove it, the result of the burning

of crude oil can be burned

CONCLUSION

The problem of increasing plastics waste is

now a global one, and one that must be
addressed in order to solve the worlds limited
resource and energy problem. Fuel oil derived
from waste plastics, a promising approach with
potential applications, not only resolve waste
problem but also provide fuel oil for the
substitute for petroleum products.
