The new license functions of the WCDMA NodeB are

integrated into the M2000 V200R009, including timed

Overview of New License Functions

Background

VDF bought a large-capacity license for the entire network at a time. At the initial
stage of network construction, a small number of licenses are allocated. With the
continuous capacity expansion of the network, more and more licenses are
required. Therefore, VDF hopes to know the usage of licenses within a specific
period and monitor the license usage through functions provided by the M2000.

To meet customer requirements, the M2000 provides the following functions:

Exporting

license data of all NodeBs on a timed basis

Exporting

license data of the selected NodeBs immediately

threshold-crossing alarms for control item license allocation

On the M2000, choose Maintenance > Integration Task Management, and create
a timed task named "NodeB License Data Export".

Result

When a scheduled task is performed, the system scans all the RNCs in the system,
and exports the license data of all NodeBs from each RNC by telecom operators.
The exported result is saved as a .csv file in the path
/export/home/sysm/ftproot/nelicense/nblic on the server. The .csv file is named
with the date when it is generated, for example, 20091120.csv. The following figure
shows the naming format of a .csv file:

Result

After the button is clicked, the system scans the selected RNCs, exports the license
data of all the NodeBs from each RNC by telecom operators to the
ExportRNCLic.csv file, and saves the file to the local path selected by the user
through FTP. The following figure shows the format of the ExportRNCLic.csv file:

Item License Allocation

By default, the threshold-crossing alarm function is unavailable.

Threshold-crossing alarms are reported by telecom operators.
When the threshold-crossing alarm function is enabled and the alarm and recovery
thresholds are set, the system checks threshold-crossing alarms on all the RNCs on
the network. If the proportion of the allocated licenses of a resource to the total
licenses of the resource owned by the telecom operator exceeds the preset alarm
threshold, a threshold-crossing alarm is generated.
During license allocation and synchronization, the threshold-crossing alarm
checking is also performed if this function is enabled. The following figure shows the
format of a threshold-crossing alarm:

Clearing Threshold-Crossing Alarms

When the threshold-crossing alarm function is enabled, if the proportion of the

allocated licenses of each resource on the NodeB to the total licenses of the
resource owned by the telecom operator is lower than the recovery threshold, the
system clears the reported alarms related to the telecom operator during license
allocation and synchronization.

When this alarm function is disabled, the system clears all existing thresholdcrossing alarms.
