Tagul is a site used for creating Word Clouds students and teachers can use to create a

beautiful and informative piece of work, simply made up of, words! Teachers can use it
for assessment and students can use it to find the main ideas of an assignment.

Crazy Horse, Oglala Sioux, was born in 1840 in South Dakota. He fought for his people and was forced to g
and was eventually arrested on May 6, 1877. Crazy Horse was a celebrated warrior and influential leader o
Western Band of Sioux Indians.

n the 1850s, tensions started to begin with the Westward Movement of white settlers in search of gold.
Military forts were established and diseases were spread to the Native Americans wiping out their
populations.
n 1854, after the all the tensions, the Grattan Massacre arose when Lt. John Grattan and some of his men
Entered a Sioux camp thinking he was getting justice for killing a cow. This was the first of the Sioux Wars
Between the U.S. and Lakota.
Crazy Horse went on to fight many wars along side Sitting Bull, Hunkpapa Sioux. After fleeing to Canada
he eventually grew tired, his followers left him and he ran out of food and supplies. He surrendered in
Nebraska and was eventually taken to Fort Robinson. Being the fighter that he was he got in a fight with so
Officers and he was stabbed in the kidneys and died.

Crazy Horse refused to sign any treaties or sign any documents; there is no known signature of his name.

June 3rd, 1948, there was a blast on The Mountain in Black Hills South Dakota. A monument was sculpted
of Crazy Horse to preserve tradition and culture of Native American Tribes.
