Final Reflections

ISTE STANDARDS FOR


TEACHERS.
Effective teachers apply ISTE
Standards into their teaching to
assure they are covering all
grounds. When creating a
lesson for students, all teachers
should meet the standards and
performance indicators. This
includes the five standards to
advance student learning.

Facilitate and Inspire Student


Learning and Creativity.
STANDARD #1:

Teachers used their knowledge of subject matter, teaching


and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that
advance student learning, creativity, and innovation in both
face-to-face and virtual environments.
a) Promote, support and model creative and innovative thinking and
inventiveness.
b) Engages students in exploring real-world issues and solving authentic
problems using digital tools and resources.
c) Promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and
clarify students conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and
creative processes.
d) Model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning
with students, collogues, and others face-to-face and virtual
environments.

The way I met the Standard..


In Unit 13, I created a comic strip which promotes a ton of creativity,
given that it has a great amount of options to choose from.
In Unit 12, I created a Audioboo and a Screencast which allowed me to
help my students learn in the virtual world.
Another great thing I learned about was Edmodo. I created Prezi which
introduced Edmodo and all of its features. This also promotes students
to step out into the virtual world.
The work in this course prepared me o Facilitate and Inspire Student
Learning in Creativity by giving me assignments that demonstrate
creativity such as the comic strip. As a future teacher the creativity
portion will take me far.

Standard #2: Design and Develop Digital Age


Learning Experiences and Assessments.
Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic
learning experiences and assessment incorporating
contemporary tools and resources to maximize
content learning in context and to develop the
knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the
standards.
a) Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital
tools and resources to remote student learning and creativity.
b) Customize and personalize learning activities to address students
diverse learning styles, working strategies , and abilities using digital
tools and resources.

The way I met the Standard.


In Unit 14: I created Multi-Application Lesson plan that engaged
students and different learning styles.
In Unit 9, I created Webquest allowed me to create an online lesson. I
was able to use digital tools to enhance student learning.
Throughout this class I had to create a Weebly, also there I am ale to
personalize and use multiple digital tools to share and learn.
This course prepared me to Design and Develop Digital Age Learning
Experiences and assessments by providing me with tools that will
allow all ages and learners to learn. This course gave me insight not
only how to direct my teaching to specific learners but how to
integrate for every learner as well.

Standard #3: Model Digital Age


Work and Learning.
Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills and work processes
representative of an innovative professional in a global and
digital society.
a) Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of
current knowledge to new technologies and situations.
b) Collaborations with students, peers, parents, and the community
members using digital tools and resources to support student success
and innovation.
c) Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students,
parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats.
d) Model and facilitate effective use and of current and emerging digital
tools to locate , analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to
support.

The way I met the


Throughout my class experience I created a Weebly and with that I
Standard.
have demonstrated a fluency in technology. This site can be used by
teachers to communicate a numerous amount of ways.
In Unit 12, I create a Audioboom and a Screencast. With these to
magnificent tools I could provide students with instructions and visual
aids as well.
The work in this course prepared me to Model Digital Age Work and
Learning by giving me specific tools to display my work.

Standard #4: Promote and Model Digital Citizenship and


Responsibility.
Teachers understand local and global societal issues and
responsibilities in an evolving digital culture and exhibit legal
and ethical behavior in their professional practices.
a) Advocate, model, and teach safe, legal, and ethical use of digital
information and technology, including respect copyright, intellectual
property, and the appropriate documentation of sources.
b) Address the diverse needs of all learners by using learner-centered
strategies providing equitable access to appropriate digital tools and
resources.
c) Promote and model digital etiquette and responsible social
interaction related to the use of technology and information.

The way I met the Standard.


In Unit 9, I created a WebQuest. There were links to numerous
amount of research websites. These links were provided by me and
also in a secure learning environment. This also help me address the
diverse needs of all learners.
Also the Weebly account that I have created for this class. I advocated
ethical use of digital information and technology.
Prezi. My presentation while using Prezi also modeled digital etiquette.

Standard #5: Engage in


Professional Growth and
Leadership.

Teachers continuously improve their professional practice, model lifelong


learning, and exhibit leadership in the school and professional
community by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital
tools and resources.
a) Participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative
application of technology to improve student learning.
b) Exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating
in shared decision making and community building, and developing the
leadership and technology skills of others.
c) Evaluate ad reflect on current research and professional practice on a regular
basis to make effective use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in
support of student learning.

The way I met the Standard


While in this course I have Evaluated and reflected on my research I
have done for each assignment given.
Also as I had to explore many different websites I participated in local
and global learning communities to explore creative application to
ensure my students have a great learning experiences.
