The difference between these two fonts is that Sans

Serif is more modern compared to Serif as Serif looks
more traditional as well as classy and would be used
to a more mature audience whereas Sans Serif would

sending your intended target audience in a form
that they can understand and acknowledge.
These fonts to the side can
attract an array of audiences for
instance ITC Grimshaw Hand or
ITC Zemke Hand would be ideal
as a script font for a side note
from the editor as it has a
handwritten feeling and
connects the editor to its
audience personally. Also the
font ITC Musclehead would be
useful for display as out of the
collection of fonts, this one is the
most bold and dynamic out and

Each different example of font has been

used here on the same word to connote what
they all would look like upon a magazine for
example.

Colour
Colour on an article and
connote a ray of meaning
which would further link a
magazine to genre as well as
its target audience such as the
colour black would be
associated with the rock genre.
Here on the colour wheel, we
have combining Primary and
secondary colours which make
colours brighter.

Colour can also be associated with feelings and

emotions which may relate to the target audience
such as yellow is symbolic for happiness and
positivity which would be handy for a pop magazine
as the music is generally positive and uplifting.
Another example is using black which is symbolic
for darkness and death which would be ideal for
rock as darkness is portrayed in their lyrics as well
as music videos and this sadly gives rock a negative
rebellious representation.
