What is PEP?

The Project Execution Plan (PEP) is the

communicates his requirements to
everyone who is going to play a part in
the successful achievement of the
project objectives.

PEP
When ?
Whom?
Why?

WHEN??????
PEP must be started as soon as the
planning phase is completed and a
baseline for the project has been created.

BY WHOM??????
PEP is prepared by the project director,
but usually prepared on their behalf by the
project manager .
It should be issued to all the discipline
leaders involved in the project, and

MOBILISATION
Involves processes and tasks that are undertaken
once the contract has been awarded, before the

been awarded for aparticular construction to a
contractor, there are a number of important tasks that
are to be performed. Some of these are:

bid into a project budget, and setting up
mechanisms for accountability and implementation of
the budget.

capital and labor which will be utilized
for the project.
4. Division of labor and appointment of
overseeing managers and workers.

design of all the process:

Specifications for
equipments
exterior works etc.

purchase of materials and equipments.
The procurement team must make sure the
materials, equipments and the contracts
awarded are in accordance with the
standards, quality and performance.

the overall cost of the project.

CONSTRUCTION
Identifying the exact location of the site.
Applying safety regulations.
Establishing construction facilities at site.
Installing of equipments.

PROJECT CONTROL
Project controls necessary for the successful
execution of a project.
Serve the dual purpose of recording the transactions
that occur as well as giving managers an indication of
the progress and problems associated with a project.
