CULTURAL HERITAGE
STAINED GLASS PANEL
Choose one of the stained glass panel design compositions
Objectives:
Create one stained glass panel using the wax resist technique
similar to the Batik method.
To create the wax resist area use either crayons or colored
pencils
The shapes or positive space in the stained glass panel design
must express a cultural heritage element that contributes to the
formation of your identity.
The shapes will be divided by black paint that is applied with a
sponge brush.

DESIGN MUST INCLUDE


Decorative border consisting of
a line pattern or repeated
design.
Cultural element that
contributes to the formation of
your identity as the focal point
or point of interest.
Minimum of 80% in color and a
maximum of 20% can be left
black. A completed final project
will have no white paper
showing.

Main colors used for panel


design need to be the
traditional colors are blue,
green, blue and purple.
Exception for colors- if
there is a different color
that has a symbolic
meaning or is used as a
symbol associated with
your chosen cultural
heritage element.
