2. GET THE BHI!
The BHI is also known as the Central
Idea or Main Idea
Reflect on the content and condense it
into a theme or 1-sentence concept.

3. CREATE 2 BHQS!
BHQ is also known as an inquiry.
Ask yourself what is it about this BHI
that I want to know about?
Do this twice.. Make 2 connecting
inquiries or BHQs about the BHI.
Remember, YOU have to drive them, so
they must be YOUR BHQs! What
interests YOU! What are YOU curious
about? What do YOU want to know?

coursework file for today.

4. FORM YOUR 2 HYPOTHESES
Write one for each BHQ.
This is a STATEMENT about WHY (HOW)
you think something was done or made
or.?

5. CHASE YOUR THREADS
Chasing threads is also known as research.
The research is OVER YOUR HYPOTHESES
formed from YOUR BHQs!
DO NOT USE YOUR TEXTBOOK. ALL OTHER
SOURCES ARE OK..
Find varied sources. Are there any peeps
from the UK that could help? Interviews rock.
Know primary and secondary sources. Use
and identify BOTH.
Place all research AND SOURCES in Section 3
of the coursework file for today..

6. LdL (Lernen durch Lehren)
If its YOUR TURN for LdL, prepare your power
point. Make about 4-5 slides.
Do NOT use large amounts of text! 3-4 bullet
points only, images, graphics, etc is good.
Cite your sources! (who said it, where did
you find it?)
DONT READ!!!!! KNOW your stuff and drive
it from your GUT they are YOUR BHQs
Lots of Gestures and animation..
Never stare at your screen.. Focus on your
team
LdLs
When doing LdL, GO DEEP! CLIMB
THE LADDER.
Dont READ, speak from your GUT.
Dont REPORT or rehash data, put
your opinions forward, your ideas,
your hypotheses
Argue.. Find hidden truths, analyze,
evaluate, create!
