INTRODUCTION
Gur (Jaggery) is a natural, traditional sweetener made by the
concentration of
sugarcane juice. Gur is consumed mostly by the rural population in
India which is a
natural mixture of sugar and molasses's. With enhanced standard of
living and
higher income, the Gur demand has shifted to white sugar. Gur can be
defining as a
honey brown colored raw lump of sugar. It contains all the minerals and
vitamins
present in sugarcane juice and that is why it is known as healthiest
sugar in the
world.
At the time of production of sugar it requires a mix up of chemicals like
sulphure- dioxide, lime, phosphoric-acid, formic-acid and bleaching
agents, and that is why all the contents
of sugarcane cannot be found in sugar, where as Gur has all the

We are going to get Jaggery from areas around


Gulbarga, Bidar,Humnabad, Aland, and Afjalpur as
well, from these places we could get jaggery on
regular bases as well place the order as per our
requirements so that farmers will be able to supply
it on time. Since we make an agreement or by
paying in advance to the farmers in those areas,
there will be no shortage of stock of the jaggery,
we will be getting it for almost 6 to 7 months.
Farmers will be guided to produce such jaggery
that it should be up to the mark, as per the quality
standards and there will be no excess of adding
chemicals in the jaggery as it may be
cautious/harmful for human being.

The usage of Jaggery has become very high in the
recent days. The reason for the increase in
demand of Jaggery is health consciousness in the
people and the increase in number of Diabetic
patients. The public response will be more for the
Jaggery which is prepared in the form of powder
which is a free flow like sugar. Jaggery is been
used in the areas like Preparing of Ayurvedic
Medicines, Gross for the animals, Preparation of
the sweets.
