Helps you financially in implementing your project
Get together with your fellow IEEE Student Branch members and
submit your idea as a proposal in the IEEE Student Enterprise
Award.
PRIZE : up to US $1,500.
Eligibility : Student Members
Deadline : 30 November (Annually)

Larry K. Wilson Regional Student


Activities Award

Presented annually to each qualifying Student Branch in each


region, without numerical limit, and is intended to recognize
exemplary IEEE Student Branch operations.

Prize : Award plaque & three years complimentary membership in


the IEEE
Eligibility : Student Members
Deadline : April (Annually)

IEEE Regional Exemplary Student Branch Award

To provide public recognition of exemplary IEEE Student Branch


operations.

Prize : A customized certificate attesting to the exemplary operation


of the Student Branch
Eligibility : To qualify for the award, a Branch must conform to IEEE
Bylaws, have an active program, and support IEEE goals.
Deadline : 1 February (annually)
Note : Award will be presented annually to each qualifying Student
Branch in each Region, without numerical limit.

IEEE Outstanding Branch Counselor and Advisor Award


Recognition Program

To provide recognition to the student branch counselors around


the world.

Prize : US $500 cash award and a personalized certificate and


US $200 cash award for Student Branch.
Eligibility : Any student branch counselor.
Deadline : 28 February (annually)
Restrictions : Past winners are ineligible for renomination for a fouryear period.

IEEE Student Branch Web Site Contest


Conducted by the IEEE MGA Student Activities Committee. This
committee overseas IEEE student programs and activities of
IEEE student branches.

Prize : First place - US $1,000.00


Second place - US $750.00
Third place - US $500.00
Honorable Mention - US $250.00 each
Eligibility : Any student branch.
Deadline : 13 April (annually) differs by region.

The Darrel Chong Student Activity Award


Recognizes exemplary student activities around the world and is
designed to improve the quality of activities and foster
knowledge sharing amongst students. It is also meant to
support improved student membership growth.

Prize : 1st prize : Platinum


2nd prize : Gold , 3rd prize : Silver , 4th prize : Bronze
Eligibility : All IEEE Student Branches, Student Branch Chapters,
Student Branch Affinity groups of Women in Engineering (WIE)
Can nominate one or more events from same SB.
Deadline : 15 November (Annually)

24 hours online Global programmers competition.
Who can compete?
Teams up to 3 IEEE Student members or Graduate Student
Members
What can I Win?
The Grand Prize is trip to the IEEE Conference of your choice,
anywhere in the world. All active participants get Certificates and
goodies.
What will my Student Branch get?
Student Branch with maximum participation will get special
recognition of Best Student Branch for IEEEXtreme 5.0.

Presidents' Change the World


Rewards students who identify a real-world problem and apply
engineering, science, computing, and leadership skills to solve
it.
Prize : Grand prize of US$10,000 and the distinction of being
named "IEEE Student Humanitarian Supreme.
To runner-up prizes of US$5,000, US$2,500, and US$1,000
awards.
Winners of the top prize will also be invited to accept their
awards in-person at the IEEE Honors Ceremony in June 2012.

Eligibility : Active volunteer of an SB

IEEE Computer Society


IEEE Computer Society is offering $40,000 in student scholarships
from $1,000 and up to recognize and reward active student volunteer
leaders in student branches or chapters who show promise in their
academic and professional efforts.

Richard E. Merwin Student Scholarship


To recognize and reward student leadership.
Prize : Certificate and US $ 2500.
Eligibility : Graduate students, and those in the final two years of an
undergraduate program in electrical or computer engineering,
computer science, or a well-defined computer related field of
engineering. Should be a member of IEEE CS Society.
Deadline : 30 April (Annually)
Criteria : Involvement in chapter or branch activities (counts 40%),
academic achievement (counts 30%), other extracurricular activities
in college (counts 10%), and letter of evaluation by branch or chapter
advisor (counts 20%).

Lance Stafford Larson Student Scholarship


To encourage students to develop excellence in their communication
skills and to motivate students toward achievement in the field of
Computer Science.
Prize : Certificate and US $ 500.
Certificates for runner ups
Eligibility : All undergraduate students who are IEEE Computer
Society members may compete.
Deadline : 31 October (Annually)
Criteria : A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

Upsilon Pi Epsilon Student Award for Academic


Excellence
To encourage academic excellence for students in the computing
discipline.
Prize : Up to four awards of $500 each are given each year to
competition winners. Winners also receive a certificate of
commendation, and a periodical subscription for one year.
Eligibility : All undergraduate students who are IEEE Computer
Society members may compete.
Deadline : 31 October (Annually)
Criteria : A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
