INTRODUCTION
The project of Gau Sewa and Gau
raksha, was founded by Shri Ramesh
Baba Ji a saint living in Maan Mandir
,Barsana, The Project Gaushala was
started on 3rd June,2007,by adopting 2
cows, which were gathered from the
road side, The cows are invariably
captured and taken for slaughtering by a
particular society. In order to save cows
from slaughtering, Shri Ramesh Baba Ji

OBJECTIVE
To save cows from sickness, starving and slaughtering
To perform sewa of cows by keeping them in the
Gaushala and provide conducive environment proper
feeding and proper medical facilities.
To ensure protection by keeping them in the Gaushala
under own control and super vision and not to part
any cow, calf, ox, bulls to any individual or any
organization for any social or commercial benefit.
To cremate the dead cows in proper manner with due
love & respect.

BEED DEVELOPMENT

This being an only liberal Gaushala with in many states of India where refusal is never said.
No entry fees are charge for cattle. The Majority of above cattle are in a debilitated condition,
old, worn-out, lame and diseased. The routine nursing and aged related treatment is going on
since its conception.
Now with Awakening and many cattle welfare proposed project by state govt. and central
govt., it is felt by Shri Mataji Gauhsala health committee to select few cows of pedigree of
Sahiwal, Gir, and other Indian breeds of performance capabilities.
A team of full time experienced professional. Highly qualified. Is the field are engaged to
select and breed out of above Sahiwal, GIR, & MEWATI the Rejected XB animals will be kept
for sahiwal breeding. All at effect is being made to collect Sahiwal,GIR, Calves with proven
pedigree for rearing.
At present 200 SAhiwal, 20GIR, 150 Brijbreed and 3 Sahiwal bulls with proven record are
available. Separate sheds for Sahiwal calf rearing, Sahiwal cows, GIR & MEWATI are used
under total hygienic condition. AI with frozen semen will be used. Semen of quality is being
arranged. Tagging is in progress. Few of the animals which are in milk their milk record being
monitored for selective breeding.
A breedable heard of 500cows is being screened from the rejected, pathetic condition and
poor condition animal out of 32000 total heard strength mainly consist of bulls, bullock,
calves, young stock, and aged animals.
Within few year a healthy, breedable SAHIWAL STOCK Will be available, the male calve will be
reared as Proven Bulls. Proven Sahiwal Bulls and GIR Bull will be distributed to the
prospective Gaushalas throughout India.
The milk yield of local breed will improve to a minimum of 08-10kg in the first generation &
Further Improvement will be seen in the years to come. Dung & urine will be sold by farmers
to the Ayurvedic pharmacy for production of PANCHGAYVYA & Many Ayurvedic Medicines for
which a good numeration will be paid to the farmers.

2- BIO-GAS PLANT
The plant will be consuming around 30 tons of
Gobar every day. After its successful completion,
the potential of this Biogas plant will be 1200
cubic meter of Methane Gas per day, which is
equivalent to around 35 cylinders of LPG of 14.2
kg. Worth Rs. 28000/- This can generate
electricity through a CNG run engine. This plant
will help us in generating electricity for our entire
captive use and gas for our daily cooking
requirements. Also we can sell a very high grade
of
organic
fertilizer
to
farmers.

BIOFERTILIZER PLANT- PROM

Gaushala has innovated to produce Phosphate

Rich Organic Manure (PROM)(under FCO) from
biogas slurry which can replace expensice
chemcical phosphatic fertilizers like DAP, SSP.
Gaushala is putting up a 300 Tonnes per day
manufacturing plant.
The product shall help produce organic
phosphatic fertilizers and shall benefit farmers
with lower input cost and soil health
improvement.

BIO-Fertilizer
The application of cattle manure to farmland
is an economical and envi- ronmentally
sustainable mechanism for increasing crop
production. Nutrients in cattle manure can
replace commer- cial fertilizers. However, the
value of manure is more than the
accumulated value of the individual nutrients.
Cattle manure is an excellent soil amendment
capable of increasing soil quality. Manure can
increase crop yields by providing large inputs
of nutrients and organic material.

BRAJGAVYA PANCHGAYVA PHARMACY

Panchagavyais a group of derivatives of 5 elements obtained from cows i.e.

Cow Dung (Gomaye)
Cow milk
Cow Curd (Godadhi)
Cow Ghee (Goghrta)

Availability of Land
The two phases of gaushala is divided by a
hill. It would be in interest of everyone if
permission is granted to fence the hill from all
sides and allow cows to graze on the hill. This
shall provide ample space to gau mata and
help restore the waste land.
Rice Straw- An Alternate feed
Rice straw is agricutural waste which is burnt
by farmers .Various Subsidies are given by
government on fuel for gassifier plants such
as fuel subsidy and transportation subsidy. If
such subsidy is given for rice straw collection,
it shall solve problems of government to
handle air pollution, provide feed for cows
and help farmers protect land from burning
straw. It shall be a win win situation for all.
Rice straw bales technology can be applied
for collection of straw . Bales offer Cheap
sustainable housing options as they are used

Establish

It is requested to establish a support team to
interact with government department which
can help Gaushala avail various benefits and
schemes from government.

Volunteers and staff

Gaushala is in need of quality volunteers for
various sections of operation. Gaushala is ready
to provide facilities to accommodate volunteers
which can look into works of various departments
which shall be in interest of gau mata.
Integration with farmers
Gaushala wishes to establish contact with
farmers. A dedicated team can conduct activities
with farmers and create awareness on cow based
farming and a move towards cow based economy.
MGNREGA
It can requested to local admin if MGNREGA
employees can be employed in gaushala which
can help generate employment and also support
Gaushala.
A2 Milk
A rigorous effort needs to be taken to increase
awareness of consuming indigenous cow milk, its
benefits and its nutritional value. This shall
motivate people to keep cows.
