Single Phase half wave Rectifier

A single Phase half-wave rectifier is the simplest type
and normally is not used in industrial applications.
During the positive half cycle of the input voltage, D1
conducts and the input voltage appears across the
load.
During the negative half cycle of the input voltage,
the diode is in a blocking condition and the output
voltage is zero.
It is used low cost power supplies like radio.
