Introduction

On this slide are adverse-effects of El Nio ,


wilted vegetation, cracked-arid land , grass fires,
structural fires, and a picture of burnedoutlets/extension wires due to overloading and
overheating as an impression and to inform that the
focus of the BFP 5, is the prevention of fires, through
safety audits and training of residents.
The treatment is likened to that of the yearly Fire-Prevention during the
month of March only thriced-intensified to balance the threat-of-drought in
affected areas in Bicol. As a program, BFP Oplan El Nino, carries 3categories namely Fire Prevention, Fire Suppression and Other Activities that
guarantees BFP 5s fire-protection response to the public.

A. Fire Prevention
1. Intensification of Fire Prevention Programs with
MDRRMs & Other Agencies
2. Fire Safety Inspection of all types of Occupancies
3. Conduct of Ugnayan-sa-Barangay

Removal of fire hazards / clearing
4. Fire prevention seminar to identified fire prone
areas
5. Conduct of fire safety bandillo
