Overview

Teachers even raised the possibility of some teachers being kind

to their students and as such exercise unreasonable leniency when
grading to help their students gain entry into favoured residential
schools or universities and colleges. There is also the possibility of
extra judicial leniency to help their students win scholarships
which may be limited in number.

Perception of the Importance of English in English Language
Learning. Asian Social Science; Vol. 10, No. 3; 2014

Factors
Lack

of professionalism among teachers

Subjective

evaluation

due to lack of information, training, materials and

guidelines

How to overcome biasness?

Professional

training should be considered

Give enough training for assessing (Che Noraini,
Adlina, Nurhidayah 2013).
In-service teacher training program in School Based
Assessment should be continued with some
improvements (Azmi et.al, 2016)
Clear, written guide should be given on implementing
School Based Assessment.

Conclusion
Professionalism

among teachers is the key

Continuous support is needed
