NATIONAL INTEGRATION

What does National Integration mean? Its mean is to

combine and to bring together all the people of a
country. It is a sentiment that binds together all the
people in one common bond, no matter what their
race, caste, sub-caste, region or religion is. Actually it
is a strong cementing force by virtue of which all types
of people live together peacefully and can identify
themselves as part of a single whole.

NATION

Broadly speaking a Nation may refer to a

community of people who share common
territory and Government; and who often
share common Language, race and/or
common History. In international prospective
Nation can be referred as a Sovereign State.
Therefore our country India is sovereign State
comprising of races, castes, sub-castes,
regions, languages, and religions.

NATIONAL INTEGRATION

For binding the people in sentiment of

oneness i.e. in the bond of nationalism or
what we call National Integration, it is
necessary to all to eliminate and evaporate
the feeling of regionalism, communalism,
Linguism etc., among themselves. Now days
in a society Media plays a very important role.
Without Media, people in societies would be
isolated, not only from the rest of world but
from the Government, Law and Orders,
neighboring Towns and Cities.

PAKISTAN HAS A
TRADITIONAL SOCIETY
Pakistan has a traditional society which is full of
several kinds of inequalities and various kinds of
prejudices and discriminations based on caste,
creed, race, tribe, sex, wealth language etc. So
in these circumstances Pakistani nationalism is
the only ideology of the Pakistani nation. Its
ideal and principles are love and devotion to
Pakistan as a country and as a nation. Pakistani
patriotism inspires all Pakistanis, regardless of
any discrimination, to defend Pakistan against
all challenges to its unity, solidarity and integrity.

THE
PRINCIPLES
PAKISTANI NATIONALISM

OF

The principles of Pakistani nationalism were proclaimed by

Quaid-e-Azam in his speech at Dhaka on 21 March, 1948,
in
which
he
said
You belong to a Nation now, you have now carved out a
territory, vast territory, it is all yours; it does not belong to a
Punjabi, or a Sindhi, or a Pathan, [or a Balochi] ... it is
yours.
These words of Quaid-e-Azam are the true essence of
Pakistani nationalism and are the real basis of Pakistan's
unity, solidarity and integrity. But it is a misfortune of
Pakistan that since the death of Quaid-e-Azam it did not
always have a dedicated political leadership and love of
democratic
practices.

CAUSES OF FAILURE OF NATIONAL

INTEGRATION IN PAKISTAN POLITICS

CAUSES OF FAILURE OF NATIONAL INTEGRATION

IN PAKISTAN

Linguistic Issue
The dynamic process of national integration,
generated by the enthusiasm of a separate
homeland, was disrupted by the language
controversy only after three months of
independence.

BUREAUCRATS SETUP
There is a direct relationship between
bureaucracy and National Integration of
Pakistan. Pakistan had inherited its bureaucrat
setup from British. After independence people
of this country struggling for achieving their
objectives, but the bureaucracy in its pursuit of
power has contrived to keep the people divided.

ETHNIC ISSUE
Pakistan is the country with multi ethnic
diversity. Different diameter such as religion,
language, territory and caste, give birth violent
conflicts among different ethnic identities of
Pakistan.
Inter -ethnic group conflict in Pakistan, has
destroyed National Integration and undermine
foundations of the state.

SECTARIAN ISSUE
The sectarian war between Shias and Sunnis in
Pakistan has deep roots with the objectives of
foreign agencies e.g., CIA,NDS,RAW, KJB and
Mosad. Thus sectarian violence is the most vital
factor responsible for the poor national
integration of the country.

PROVINCIAL AUTONOMY
After the emergence, Pakistan has been
hostage to provincialism. One of the major
demands of East Pakistan in constitutional term
was full provincial autonomy in all spheres
except Defense and Foreign Affairs.

Political instability and lack of political

consciousness
Regionalism Issue
Economic Disparity and backwardness
Cultural differences
Class system controlled by elite
Degradation of political and administrative
institutions

ROLE OF MEDIA

Media is the most powerful tool of

communication. It helps promoting the right
things on right time. It gives a real exposure
to the mass audience about what is right or
wrong. Even though media is linked with
blaming fake news every time on terrorist
attacks by saying directly Muslim
fundamentalist hand in attack without
properly investigating but on the safe side, it
helps a lot to inform us about the realities as
well.

Unity, Brotherhood & Life of Holy
Prophet (P.B.U.H)

TEACHINGS OF QURAN

The Muminoon are but a single Brotherhood. (The

Holy Quran, 49:10)
The Believers, men and women, are protectors one of
another: they enjoin the ma`roof (all of Islam), and
forbid the munkar (all that is evil; kufr): they observe
regular prayers, pay Zakat, and obey Allah and His
Messenger. On them will Allah pour His mercy: for Allah
is Exalted in power, Wise. (The Holy Quran, 9:71)
And they prefer (the Muhajirin) above themselves
though poverty become there lot. Al-Hasher [59:9]

TEACHINGS OF HOLY PROPHET (P.B.U.H)

A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim.

He does not oppress him, nor does he leave
him at the mercy of others." (Sahih Muslim
Book 032, Number 6219)
The Prophet said, "None of you will have
faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother
what he likes for himself." (Sahih Al-Bukhari
Volume 1, Book 2, Number 12)

TEACHINGS OF NATIONAL LEADERS

QUAID-E-AZAM SAID
You are free . You are free to
go to your temples , you are
free to go mosque or any
place of worship in this state
of Pakistan. You belong to any
religion, cast or creed that
has nothing to do with the
business of state.

TEACHINGS OF NATIONAL LEADERS

Come forward as servants of Islam, organise the people

economically, socially, educationally and politically and
I am sure that you will be a power that will be
accepted by everybody.[Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali
Jinnah]
Our object should be peace within, and peace without.
We want to live peacefully and maintain cordial
friendly relations with our immediate neighbours and
with the world at large.[Muhammad Ali Jinnah]

TEACHINGS OF NATIONAL LEADERS

Democracy is in the blood of Musalmans, who look upon

complete equality of manhood [mankind][and] believe in
fraternity, equality and liberty. Muhammad Ali Jinnah
The great majority of us are Muslims. We follow the
teachings of the Prophet Mohammed (may peace be upon
him). We are members of the brotherhood of Islam in which
all are equal in rights, dignity and self-respect.
Consequently, we have a special and a very deep sense of
unity. But make no mistake: Pakistan is not a theocracy or
anything like it. Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Persian Poem

SHEIKH SAADI said:

The Children Of Adam are related to
one another,
And in their creation, they are all from
one essence.
If one part of the body falls into pain
and suffering,
then all other parts of the body are
also affected.

PERSIAN POETRY
If mine & your intelligence were enough,
Then why has ALLAH commanded us to
consult(one another)?
We must resonate the proof that:
The hand of ALLAH is with the congregation.
Since by being with the community,
The strong hand has a longer reach.

SAYINGS OF GLOBAL LEADERS & PHILOSOPHERS

NEED OF REALIZATION

We are all Humans, sons & daughters of

Adam A.S.
We are all Muslims, followers of Quran &
Holy Prophet P.B.U.H.
We are all Pakistanis.
If we stick to this, the world will seem like a
much much nicer place & more peaceful one.

United We Stand,
Divided We Fall

Our present condition being a

muslim
The Holy Quran says:
Hold fast to the rope of Allah all of
you and do not be divided.
From this verse, we come to
know that Islam has definitely
taught us unity.
It means that we should
maintain a relationship with
each of our fellow creatures.

ROLE OF YOUTH
IN UNITY

Pakistan is surrounded by
many challenges
The survival of Pakistan has
never been as difficult as it
is today . Pakistan is the 7th
Nuclear Power in the world
and very mighty when it
comes to weapon and Army
but very weak when the
subject of unity comes up.

Social differences in our

nation

Today our people are divided

in cast and creed . We have
build up many social
differences that we now
consider as SEPARATE
NATION.
These differences has
destroyed us and we left
behind in every field of life.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF YOUTH

Our youth has a great

responsibility to check
difference and stand unite .
Pakistan has more than 60%
youth of its population.
Youth is very important as they
consider as nation builders .
Now it is time that we should
start showing some maturity of
the present prices and awake
from deep sleep.

NEGATIVE ASPECTS OF UNITY

If people collectively choose the wrong path
and unite their worst qualities, they can
achieve temporary success, since any kind of
unity leads to the nullification of ones ego
for the sake of others. This is one way to
implement spiritual properties because it is a
step towards unity, towards bestowal among
each other for the sake of the collective
egoism. Even though this unity is done in
order to harm anyone who is outside the
Creator, nevertheless the act of unity itself
brings them partial success. This kind of
unity always falls at the end.

If, from the very beginning, our goal is to build then its no surprise
that our unity will only hurt us and we will not succeed. We have
already seen examples of this in our world. Lets hope that we dont
repeat the mistakes of the past, like the wise men who meet at
international conferences such as the G20 summits and the climate
summit, aiming to bring prosperity to the world. They wont succeed.
The only question is: how many towers will they have to build and
see ruined before they understand the reason for their failures?

If we dont pursue the right goal, then any attempt at unity in our
world will fail and bring more harm.

We always have to unite for positive purposes and for the

prosperity of Pakistan. And we have to save Pakistan.

CONCLUSION
