Rationale
DepEd believes that high-performing
schools can be instruments for reform.
Through
school-to-school
partnerships, high-performing schools
can share their best practices and
help other schools improve their
school performance using LAC, CI, and
SBM.
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

Rationale
High-performing schools will be called
Leader Schools. They shall receive
funds (P140,000) to provide technical
assistance to nearby schools that
have not yet reached their full
potential in school performance.
These schools will be the Partner
Schools.

Rationale
The policy aims to generate shortterm positive outcomes among
schools involved in partnerships.
These outcomes include:
1. Engagement in collaborative
professional devt activities
2. Joint planning, problem-solving and
resource mobilization activities
3. Improvement of social trust,
awareness and understanding

Policy Statement
In line with DepEd Order 83, s. 2012,
DepEd is committed to building a
network of leadership and governance
that will guide the educational system
to achieve its shared vision, mission
and goals.
Leader Schools will have the moral
purpose linked to the well-being of the
wider community rather than just any
individual school.
