Basic Troubleshooting
Sometimes, we will face common software problems such as:
- GUI not showing
- Uninstallation issues
- Temporary conflict between the software and OS issues
- And so on

Basic Troubleshooting
In order to troubleshoot basic issues, you may perform the following steps:
1. Changing the affected endpoint to UNMANAGED policy and then clicking
Save.

2. Next, you have TWO options:
- Either wait till the next sync time policy is met (Example, in the policy it was 4
hours)
- Or, going to the affected endpoint and manually refresh the configuration
(Right click on the Webroot system icon and clikc Refresh Configuration)

Website Access Troubleshooting


Should you have any issues that are affecting certain websites or customized web-applications from being accessed.
You can temporarily disable the Web Shield from the Webroot GUI, as follows:

1. Open the GUI


2. Turn off the Web Shield
3. Key in the 6 letter security code

Create a support ticket


To create a support ticket:
1. Login to the console
2. Click on Endpoint Protection
3. At the STATUS tab, refer to the bottom-right side, there is a Support link that you can click
4. Once youre in the support page, scroll all the way down until you see an orange Create Ticket button

From here you may key in:
- Your subject
- Category of issue(s)
- Your message

Send Diagnostics Tools


To send a diagnostics tools of the affected endpoint, you may:
(The purpose of this feature is to send a diagnostics log directly to Webroot)

1. Go to the console, under Group Management tab


2. Search for the affected endpoint name and tick it
3. Click on Agent Command -> Advanced -> Customer Support Diagnostics
