INTRODUCTION

The leaching may be accomplished by different techniques operation, the analysis

of a given project are selected by both technical and economic factors, which are
distinguished:

Technical factors

Economic factors

An analysis of the factors mentioned above, you can select the technique that is
most profitable, among which are:

Fixed beds:

In situ, in place.

In dumps.

In batteries.

In trays.

Leach pulp:

By stirring at ambient pressure.

In autoclaves.

OBJECTIVE
The

main objective of this paper is to present

and explain the methods of leaching, heap
leaching deeper and punts, so readers can
identify and differentiate what are the methods,
advantages and disadvantages of these
techniques, and have some notion by which lean
against possible choice.

HEAP LEACHING

The
crushed
material
is
transported to where the stack is
formed.

In this way the material is

subjected to a first irrigation with
a solution of water and sulfuric
acid , known as curing, so starting
already on the way the process of
sulfation of copper contained in
the oxidized ores.

which is deposited neatly into a

continuous embankment 6-8 m
high: the leach pad.

IRRIGATION SYSTEM

Through drip irrigation system and

sprayers, an acid solution of sulfuric
acid in water with the surface of the
batteries is slowly poured.

This solution infiltrates the cell to its

base, moving quickly. The solution
dissolves copper oxidized mineral
content, forming a solution of copper
sulfate, which is collected by the
drainage system, and taken out of
the batteries in waterproof gutters
sector.

solutions of copper (CuSO4) sulfate

concentrations up to 9 grams per liter (gpl) called
PLS which are carried to various ponds where they
are cleaned eliminating the solid particles which
may have been entrained are obtained.

These

solutions clean copper sulphate are carried

by solvent extraction plant.

CONCLUSIONS
Metallurgical

recovery can be a target goal

and not necessarily an outcome or
dependent variable ore, in a range that is
generally greater than you might think.

This

target goal of recovery is limited by

economic factors associated with the
technique of leaching.
