For the first time, we have the opportunity to host BCG and McK on

campus.
We have a genuine problem in front of us , which we did not anticipate
. We had told in our rules GBM that the mother rule is that a candidate
can have a maximum of 2 offers. But, given the terms of engagement
we with the three consult firms BCG , MCK , AMC we have to show
the candidate to the firm at any cost.
Now , and since the PLACECOM reports only to you the batch , we seek
your advice on whether to allow the candidates with 2 offers sit for the
process of MCK/AMC . If we do not do that , the company may decide
not to visit XLRI for recruitment not only this year , but perhaps in the
future also.
If we do allow .it will only and only be after you allow us to do SO .

For the first time in the history of XLRI, we have the opportunity to host BCG and McK on campus together.
We had communicated a mother rule previously that a candidate can receive a maximum of 2 job offers through the
entire placement process.
In order to host both the consults on campus, the terms of engagement with the consults included that each and
every candidate shortlisted by the two firms shall appear in the process. If all the candidates do not appear in the
process, the firm will not conduct the process.
But, given the terms of engagement we with the three consult firms BCG , MCK , AMC we have to show the
candidate.
Now, and since the we, the placement committee reports only to you the batch, we seek your advice on whether to
allow the candidates with 2 offers sit for the process of MCK/AMC .
If the majority of the batch is in agreement with the exception for Mckinsey and Company, we will go ahead with
status quo and it will only and only be after you allow us to do SO .
If we do not do that , the company may decide not to visit XLRI for recruitment not only this year, but perhaps in the
future also.
So, kindly let us know your verdict.

As you all know, we have the opportunity to host BCG,McK on campus together for the first time
ever.
In order to host the consults on campus, the terms of engagement with the firms stand that each
and every candidate shortlisted by both firms shall appear in the process.
During the LRP rules, We communicated a mother rule - that a candidate can receive a maximum of
2 job offers through the entire placement process.
Now as things stand one candidate has 2 offers and as per the rule earlier stated, should be signed
out of the process.
Now we have two options :
1) Adhere to the mother rule and pull out the candidate and risk losing the firm, not only in the short
term but also in the long term.
2) Allow an exception for Mck, and allow all the candidates shortlisted by Mckinsey to appear in the
process.
Now, and since the we, the placement committee reports only to you the batch, we seek your
verdict on whether to allow the candidates with 2 offers sit for the process of MCK. This would also
hold good if the Accenture process happens before Mckinsey and company and a candidate receives
an offer from Accenture Strategy. we wish to maintain complete transparency we will take whatever
verdict the batch gives us.
