CAN GOD BE IMMORAL?

An Inherent Contradiction

How then can God be immoral?

Suppose a person pledged to nonviolence sees a woman being
abused.
What is morality?

your wealthy friends house while
you are there. He hides in a closet.
And you are avowedly truthful. If the
thieves ask you, Where is your
friend?

Suppose you are a doctor and a patient
has got a infected limb. If it is not cut, he
will die. Your duty is to protect the
patient and yet you have to cut his limb.

medicine. You give it to him in a
sweetball and assure him, Theres
no medicine in it.

If we ourselves cannot clearly decide
or strictly adhere to the same moral
principles all the time, but need to
use discrimination, how can we judge
Gods actions through our moral
spectacles without discrimination?

Morality is like a torchlight,


Krishna is like the sun
We have selfish desires and so we need
moral codes so as to not fall prey to
them.
Krishna is selfless love personified;
Whatever He does is motivated only
by the desire to benefit everyone. As
He can never come under the sway of
selfish desires, He does not need to
follow moral codes.

Is morality the goal of life?


Moral codes are like traffic rules
The purpose of traveling is not to
follow the traffic rules, but to reach
the destination. The traffic rules help
us to smoothly and safely reach our
destination

Is morality the goal of life?


Similarly morality helps us to proceed
smoothly and safely in the journey of
life. But the goal of life is not to be
moral, but to become a pure devotee
of Krishna.

Is morality the goal of life?


Morality is in goodness and will keep us in
the material world.
Devotion is in pure goodness and will take
us back to Godhead.
A pure devotee should sacrifice everything
for Krishna even morality

What is Truth?
Truth is not
speaking a relative truth while living
on the platform of untruth,
Truth is
speaking that which will harmonize us
with the Absolute Truth.

How can that Lord whose memory
purifies others of lust Himself ever
act lustfully?

But as Lord Krishna He wants to teach us

SB, If ordinary souls imitate great
souls, they will be ruined. Eg. Lord
Shiva drinks bhanga, but he also
drinks halahala poison.
Eg. Krishna lifted Govardhan hill before
He performed rasa-lila.
For great souls, we should follow their
instructions, not imitate their actions.

The Last Word


Normally the Lord and His devotees
act morally. And that is the example
we should follow.
And when They act seemingly
immorally, we should learn and apply
the principles taught thereof and not
imitate or question their actions.
