QUESTION 1& 2
What is the product and who are the company
selling it?
The product is a chocolate biscuit with caramel
inside that has two bars in one packet and the
company selling it is Twix.
What are the brand values?
The brand values of this product is the quality of
chocolate and the way the different layers are
topped/coated also because there are two bars in
one packet which is a unique selling point (USP).

QUESTION 3 (I) CAMERA SHOT


TYPES
This shot is and establishing shot or wide
shot (EST OR WS) this occurs to establish the
scene and shows where the
advert is taking place and where
it is set. The location is very
important to know or the theme
of the advert wont be clear to the audience.
In this case it shows the two Twix factories,
the right and the left, it develops further into
showing us what has occurred in the factories
as the advert carries on.

QUESTION 3 (II) CAMERA ANGLES


A low angle is used in this shot to
make the person look intimidating
and powerful
which is true in this occasion because
he is the factory owner.
He is looking down at his
workers and doesnt get involved with
what is going on or with the work
because he owns the factory and his
workers.

QUESTION 3 (III) CAMERA


MOVEMENTS
There are very few camera movements in this
advert one of them being a Tilt. This movement is
used inside the factory showing the workers and
what they are doing.
It also shows how the factory is set out and where
all the machinery is.

(iv) Transition/edits
The edits are mainly cuts to different scenes and fades.
They are used in most of the adverts to cut from one
factory to the other and show the audience what is
happening.
Diegetic and non- diegetic sound
There is diegetic sound in the advert however it is
mostly covered up with the non- diegetic sound of the
music in the background and the narrator describing
the scenes and the advert. The diegetic sounds consist
of the Twix breaking and making a crunch sound which
sounds mouth-watering. Also the audience at the
beginning approve of their invention when they clap
which persuades the audience.

QUESTION 5 MISE-EN-SCENE (1)


Setting- The setting of this advert is in the past
because of the fields and crops growing on fields.
However the factories being built shows that it
was mainly near the industrial revolution
because of the awareness of how to make it.
Lighting- In the advert the lighting
is mainly natural but changes at one
point where candles are used for light showing the
room is dark and it is at
night.
Costumes- The costumes fit with the time period.
The main personas featured in this advert are
wearing high-top hats and moustaches, they are
also wearing different clothes for different
scenes. This will make the advert believable and
convince the audience about the scene.

QUESTION 5 MISE-EN-SCENE (2)


Acting- A fight is broken at the start of the advert
because of the
disagreements in making the
Twix and who claims it. The acting
is somewhat comical and the facial
expressions of the audience are
shocked because the Twix has broken
Props- A lot of props are used in this advert some
indicating the time period and others to make the
advert entertaining and believable. A camera is used
which is very old, this shows us that technology had
not yet been developed and gives the audience a view
of this.
Dialogue- There is not much dialogue it is mainly a
narrator telling the story and how the two sides were
made.

LOGOS AND SCREEN GRAPHICS

The logo of this Company is the name written in


a specific font. This font is very effective because
it matches the colour of the wrapper and the
product. Also the wrapper is gold which might
indicate that the product is treasurable and very
important, like gold or treasure.
