Collecting materials from demolished site.


Assemble using masonry technique.
Response to scourge such as typhoons.
Allowing people to rebuild the houses faster
using the fragments.
Usually fragments include terracotta tiles,
stones and bricks.

LOW COST DESIGN CONCEPT


RECYCLING MATERIALS

Usage of leftover bricks, terracotta tiles and


brick block from old demolished buildings.
Usage of easily found local materials.

INNOVATIVE DESIGN CONCEPT


BAMBOO - CEMENT TECHNIQUE

During the Hwang Ho civilization, humans used


timber as building structure and mud to cover
the structural frame.
Use to prevent water from coming in, hide
from wild animals, hide from scourge and also
a place to rest.
Timber structural frame is replaced by
bamboo.
Mud is replaced with cement.

In Conclusion,

Sustainability Design is achieve through the mixture of


vernacular and modern building materials.
Wa Pan technique is a method reusing the demolition sites
materials, achieving the Renewable Design concept.
Using back Wa Pan & timber-mud technique in a modern building
is an Innovation for the modern era.
