Jesus
Last Supper (Jesus Sacrificed Lamb, Eaten, Do
this in Remembrance of Me, Luke 22:19-20)
Son of David
Temple of Solomon
I Believe in God,
The Father Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and Earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord;
Who was conceived by The Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended into the dead,
The third day He arose from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
Sitteth at the right hand of God,
The Father Almighty;
From thence he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Holy Catholic Church,
The Communion of Saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body,
And life everlasting
Amen.
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make
disciples of all nations, Baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am
with you till the end of the age. (Matthew 28:18-20)
[Fathersend your Holy Spirit] on us and on this oil which is before us and consecrate it,
so that it may be for all who are anointed and marked with it holy myron, priestly myron,
royal myron, anointing with gladness, clothing with light, a cloak of salvation, a spiritual
gift, the sanctification of souls and bodies, imperishable happiness, the incredible seal, a
buckler of faith, and a fearsome helmet against all the works of the adversary. (The Syriac
liturgy of Antioch, from the Eastern Orthodox Liturgy)
*This sacrament is interesting in that it is almost never administrated apart from the
sacraments of confession and the Eucharist.
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray
over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save
the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they will be
forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for each other, that you may
be healed. The prayer of the righteous man has great power in its effects. (James 5:14-16)
