SHOULD CARS BE BANNED FROM THE CITY ?

Exampl
e

Cars should be banned from the city center at least in the biggest cities
because they bring on more problems than benefits. Pollution is the top one major
drawback, along with traffic jams and a relentless decrease in local commerce.
Firstly, it is widely known that cars are responsible for the highest levels of
carbon dioxide emissions, the most common greenhouse gas.
Secondly, public transportation should be the priority mean of commuting. Even
after the implementation of urban toll, London and So Paulo have reached peaks of
immobility in their centers in the last decades. London has fallen back on bicycle routes
and So Paulo has tried hard to work up subway and buses lines.
In addition to that, local commerce looses pedestrians and consequently sales
volume decreases. Local residents are forced to move out of the city center making the
area much more devaluated.
In some conditions, cars can be good for us if we want to go to a far
destination. But, in the other hand, cars become not good for human health caused by
the carbon dioxide emissions. Moreover, it might lead to bad traffic and lost local
commerce.

Religion Column in Indonesian Identity Cards Should not be Omitted

Recently there is a hot debate whether Indonesian
government should keep religion column in the national identity
Thesis
cards. There are pro and contra sides. However, religion
column in Indonesian identity cards should not be omitted due to
a number of reasons.
First, the information dealing with the faith status is important
for the purpose of collecting data on the population and for civil
Argument 1 registry. Some civil rights, such as education and lessons on
religion in schools, child custody and marriage registration,
remain a problem for those leaving the religion column blank.
Second, there are six officially recognized religions based on
the regulations. There are Islam, Christianity, Roman
Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Confucianism. For those
Argument 2
not belonging to any of these religions would state "other" next to
the "religion" heading on their identity cards.

Third, by knowing somebody's religion, we can be mindful of
being tolerant. For example, there are a christian and a moslem
Argument 3 who make friend. When it comes to fasting month, of course, the
christian will not take the moslem to have lunch together as he
knows that his friend is fasting. The moslem, in addition, will not
take the christian to hang out on christmas eve as it is the special
moment for him.

should not be omitted. It is because by keeping the faith status in
the national identity cards will not lead to any discrimination.
