LOVE IS PATIENT AND LOVE IS KIND

1 CORINTHIANS 13:4

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not

envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

GALATIANS 5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,

forbearance, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness,

1 THESSALONIANS 5:14

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn

those who are idle and disruptive,
encourage the disheartened, help the weak,
be patient with everyone.

Patience reveals our faith in Gods

timing, omnipotence, and love.

Patience in other words is a BYPRODUCT of our understanding of the

GRACE of God given and shown to us
and our maturity in Christ.

HEBREWS 12:1
Therefore since we also are surrounded
with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay
aside every weight and the sin which so
easily besets us, and let us run with
patience the race that is set before us

PATIENCE DOES NOT DEVELOP

WITHOUT PROVOCATION AND
CIRCUMSTANCES THAT WILL TEST US.

JAMES 1:2-4
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you
encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the
testing of your faith produces endurance. 4
And let endurance have its perfect result, so
that you may be perfect and complete,
lacking in nothing.

How then can we grow in Patience?

KINDNESS LOVE IS KIND

Kindness is a virtue that

TITUS 3:4

But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked

In reply Jesus said: A man was going down from Jerusalem

to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped
him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half
dead. 31A priest happened to be going down the same road,
and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.
32So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him,
passed by on the other side. 33But a Samaritan, as he
traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him,
he took pity on him. 34He went to him and bandaged his
wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his
own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.
35The next day he took out two denarii[e] and gave them to
the innkeeper. Look after him, he said, and when I return, I
will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.

EPHESIANS 4:32
God is kind. He is not harsh. He came not to
condemn, but to save. He is only severe
after his mercy and love are ultimately
spurned. "Be kind and compassionate to one
another, forgiving each other, just as in
Christ God forgave you.
