SUGGESTIONS TO DEALERS FOR QUOTING TO PROJECTS

All quotes shall be submitted under guidelines of respective Regional Manager / Head Office.
Proper records should be maintained in both ends.

Concerned Regional Manager should visit / interact with the concerned project co-ordinator if
required.

Before freezing the requirement dealer should have entire project specifications duly reviewed
and accepted by Leader.

Dealers shall be fully responsible for getting Drawing and QAP approval with in 15 days from
the date of submission of the documents.

Dealers to ensure that, MDCC should be provided with in a week time positively from the date
of inspection / submission of test certificates. Where, inspections are carried out in last 3-4 days
of the month, it is the sole responsibility of the dealers to obtain the MDCC / Dispatch clearance
within that month to enable us to dispatch the material immediately. We have observed in past
that Drawing approvals and dispatch clearances are not coming in time, which cause blockage
of money, loss in the form of interest on the ready material, hampers our production planning &
reduces our buying capacity.

Working :
Self Activated pressure reducing valve is of simple design incorporating unit pilot valve. The main valve is
opened by high pressure acting on the large piston directly above it. The pilot valve, working in conjunction
with the piston actuated by any unbalanced effect of the adjusting spring and low pressure beneath it, controls
necessary pressure to the piston. Thus the pilot valve extremely sensitive to the secondary pressure, opens
and closes the main valve in a proportionate degree to maintain the desired constant low pressure.
Instructions for Fixing:
The Valves should be installed in a Horizontal Pipe Line.
Stop Valves, preferable, parallel slide type, should be installed both at inlet and outlet of the reducing valve.
A strainer must be installed on high pressure side just before the reducing valve.
A Relief valve able to discharge full capacity of the reducing valve and a pressure gauge should be installed on
the low pressure side.
f) Blow out all scale and jointing material from the pipeline before fixing the
reducing valve.
i)The installation should be done as per sketch shown.
Usage: Most suitable at hydro-power projects & allied industries.
