DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF

INTELLIGENT ALGORITHM FOR

DYNAMIC DATA MINING

BY:
RICHA GUPTA

INTRODUCTION
Dynamic data mining has become the accepted tool for knowledge discovery using
previous episodes and immediate validation in data.
It is opposite for solving problems related to the efficiency of handling database updates,
accuracy of data mining results, gaining more knowledge and interpretation and the results
, and performance. It is critical factor for companies/industry to optimize the available
resources.
Dynamic data mining needs computational resource such as software, storage, and
processing capacities. Cloud computing provides an alternative computing platform to
meet some of the needs. It offers the users the ability to connect to computing resources
and access dynamic data mining services with previously unknown level of ease.
However, the flexibility of cloud-based services comes with risk of security and privacy of
users data.
CLOUD COMPUTING:Cloud computing is the delivery of computing as a
service rather than a product, whereby shared resources, software, and
information are provided to computers and other devices as a utility
(like the electricity grid) over a network (typically the Internet).

MOTIVATION
Cloud computing is a platform to provide the resources
(Hardware & software) to the users for desired
operation/processing the data mining. It basically provides the
services like utility to users, who has to pay for the time one
used the cloud computing resources, services. Hence, one need
not invest on setting & maintenance of the infrastructure.
Thus, provides a Techno economical solution to process
industries and business activities.
Static data mining does not work on real time series and not
consider new incoming data. Therefore, online services and
www applications can not be entertained. Therefore switching
to DDM is good option.

PROPOSED WORK
Public cloud is most economic, unsecured computing platform . Therefore, I
propose to do following research work in my PhD program :
1. Design, development and test of a dynamic data mining algorithm for a
application using data mining and fuzzy logic method.
2. Test of a dynamic data mining algorithm on database using cloud
functionality.
3. Enchancing the algorithm to remove false positives by applying fuzzy-GA
technique.
4. Applying the designed algorithm on some medical datasets.
5. Reliability , performance and efficience study above proposed algorithms
by comparing it with other researchers work.
