Definition of CNC machine

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) is one in which the functions and

motions of a machine tool are controlled by means of a prepared
program containing coded alphanumeric data. CNC can control the
motions of the workpiece or tool, the input parameters such as feed,
depth of cut, speed, and the functions such as turning spindle on/off,
turning coolant on/off.

The application of CNC machine

The applications of CNC include both for machine tool as well as nonmachine tool areas. In the machine tool category, CNC is widely used
for lathe, drill press, milling machine, grinding unit, laser, sheet-metal
press working machine, tube bending machine etc. Highly automated
machine tools such as turning center and machining center which
change the cutting tools automatically under CNC control have been
developed. In the non-machine tool category, CNC applications include
welding machines ,coordinate measuring machine, electronic
assembly, tape laying and filament winding machines for composites
etc.

Main part and function of CNC

Machine
Motor Main Drive
The main motor is the motor of Chuck to rotate the workpiece. This motor
is the motor type of direct current (DC) with variable speed, the
identification of the motor is:

Qualification round 600 - 4000 rpm

Power input 500 watts

Energy expenditure / output of 300 watts

Tailstock

Tailstock is a machine tool used:

To support the long workpiece during slicing process takes place.

To clamp the center drill, drill, reamer, etc. at the time of manual working

Chuck

Chuck is used to clamp the workpiece during the ongoing process of

slicing the
workpiece is rotating chuck then connected directly to the main spindle drive motor
through the belt. Due to its function as a clamp workpieces that varies in diameter, then
to adjust the rotational speed used chuck belt transmission system.

Slidding

bed

Machine table serves as a tool holder carriage, Tailstock and headstock. Tools sled and
tailstock to glide on the machine table parallel to the main axis. In machine made very
delicate thing to achieve accuracy at the time tooling sledding and sliding off the head,
the machine table cleanliness must be maintained, because of damage to the machine
table surface will affect the results of the workpiece.

Support

Support used for home chisel holder and determine the direction of motion incision. The
direction of movement can be parallel slicing motion, perpendicular or oblique to the
main axis. Direction of movement incision on CNC lathes TU - 2A is running motion
machine that given the symbol as follows: support move parallel to the major axis given
the symbol Z, the trajectory distance 0-300 mm. Sledge transverse movement
perpendicular main axis given the symbol X, the trajectory distance 0-50 mm.

revolver/toolturret

House cutting tool on a lathe CNC TU-2A is used to clamp the cutting tool or chisel.
House cutting tool can rotate 360 degrees so-called revolver / toolturret.

Monitor

and Service switch dimensions

The service switch is used to set the dimensions of the workings of the machine services
in mm or inches. The operation of the switch: The operator can choose the service
dimension by turning the switch to the position in mm or inch For example: will work in
mm then the switch is positioned on the dot mm.

Step Motors

Step motors are the driving force for sledding longitudinal, transverse and house cutting
tool. Type and size of each - each step motors are the same. Identification of step motors
are: Number 1 round 72 step rotary moment of 0.5 Nm maximum movement speed faster
movement of 700 mm / minutes.manual operation 5-400 mm / min Movement CNC
programmed operation of 2-499 mm / min

Ammeter

Ammeter indicates the actual current consumption of the main engine. The main function
ampermeter to prevent overloading when slicing underway. Maximum current allowed is
4 amps, while if the machine is used to work on - being should not exceed 2 amperes.
Penyayatan load can be reduced by reducing the depth of incision, incision speed

X and Z Axis button

X- and Z buttons serve to move the tool carriage in the direction parallel to the main axis (Z)
or transverse axis perpendicular to the main (X). In the service manual key X and Z axis can
not
be
pressed
simultaneously,
but
pressed
one
by
one.
