Even as with toddling steps

I enter into a new world
Embark on a quest
Frightened,
Confused
Uncertain
Often lost
in the solitude of my mind
I feel my insignificance
against the power
of my goal
in one huge thougth
What does it mean to me?
but ah!
like a skylark
I rise,
I leap,
I sing,
I soar,
Transformed into a challenge
and a glory
to follow the flickering ligth.
Then.. .
Awe and fear
Melt beneath the warm shadows
of Faith

The Feeling of Words

Creating mood in poetry

The Bliss of Love
First time he pressed
his lips to kiss me
And it only reached my forehead
and from there
it grew in heigth
for then the second time
he sougth my lips
but missed,
half-falling on my cheek
oh! That was quite near
the third upon my lips
was felt the bliss of love
in tender perfect state.
Since then
I can say
my one
my all
my ow

Sounds f words
Writers play with the sounds of
words to create pleasing effect and
mood .
the repetition of initial sounds in
words is known as alliteration.
Rafael Zulueta da Costas Like the
Nolave provides a classic example in
both meaningd and mood.

Sleep not in peace

the dream is not yet fully carved
Hard the wood, but harder the
blows
Yet the molave will stand;
Yet the molave monument will rise,
And gods walk on brown legs.
Rafael Zulueta da Costa

Rhyme In Poetry
When the sounds at the end of the words are
repeated, the result is rhyme.
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain
Emily Dickson.

Imagery
Poems contain clear and vivid
images or pictures made with words.
The poet can make the readers see,
feel, smell, hear or even the flavor
the things described.

My Summer Day
Blue green like a crayon is the glistening,
warm water.
The brownish sand is warm between my
welcoming toes.
The excited shouts of the little kids
As they send loud bursts of water at each
other.
Assortment of tan bodies stretch along their
beach,
A chain of diversity thriving in the sun..
The red, yellow, and blue kites
Gracefully dot the sky.
This is the life on the beach!

Figurative Speech
