resuscitation and neonatal development.

OBSTETRIC SESSION-

HOMING UP SKILLS IN MANAGING OBSTETRIC EMERGENCIES


An audio visual session on management of obstetric emergencies
common in India including PPH Drill , Eclampsia Drill and a drill
on Breech vaginal delivery.
The session will be presented by DR. Manju Puri, head of the
department and director professor, department of OBGY, LHMC.

KEYNOTE LECTURES:

1.Strategies across the medical education continuum to close


communication gap and keep patients safe and well by Dr. Vikram
Dutta , Department of Pediatrics
2.Principles of infection control including hand hygiene by Dr.
Manoj Jais ,Department of Microbiology
3.Case scenario based approach to rationale use of antibiotics by
department by Dr. Sonal Saxena, Department of microbiology

PUBLIC HOSPITAL VISIT


Visit to Smt. Sucheta Kriplani Hospital and Kalawati
Saran Children's Hospital. These are the government
hospitals associated with Lady Hardinge Medical College.

service
The community service will be held in an OLD
AGE HOME .
Here delegates will do general examination and
participate in giving a health talk .

There will be a short lesson on Bollywood


dance.

CULTURAL NIGHT

We will also provide time for respective


chapter to show their traditional dance
and music .

Each chapter is requested to come prepared

INDIA GATE: The gate was built in memory to the of the 90,000 Indian
soldiers who laid down their lives during World War I

HUMAYUN TOMB: Humayuns tomb is one of the best preserved Mughal


monuments. This spellbinding mausoleum is the first example of Mughal
architecture in India.
LOTUS TEMPLE: The temple is built in the shape of a lotus flower and is the last
of seven Major Bahai's temples built around the world. The structure is made
up of pure white marble The architect Furiburz Sabha chose the lotus as the
symbol common to Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Islam.
GURDWARA BANGLA SAHIB: Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is the most prominent Sikh
gurdwara, or Sikh house of worship.
NATIONAL SCIENCE MEUSEUM: Has 6 permanent halls with plethora of
interesting and hands on participatory exhibits . These include Our Science
and Technology Heritage Human Biology - The miracle of human life Fun
science It includes a 3D movie hall which provides a lot of entertainment and
thrill March of information revolution from cave paintings to internet Water The Elixir of Life

ACCOMODATION
LHMC Guest House situated in the heart of
the city.
Near metro station and main market of
Connaught place.
Guest house is a part of the host college
campus.

TRANSPORT

The transport facility comprises of bus and metro.
Pick up and drop from airport will be by metro(airport
express).Organising committee members will be
coming for pick up.
Transport from LHMC to various locations like opening
and closing party, sight seeing, etc will be by bus
We have an air-conditioned bus large enough to
accommodate all of us, so journeys can be hassle free
Delhi is also well connected by metro.

Currency

The currency used is the Indian national rupee (INR)


Currency is in both coin and paper forms. Paper INR is available in
denominations of INR 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000. Always exchange currency
at authourised counters only. Ask your OC members for guidance. Beware of
fake currency notes. Currency coins are in denominations of INR 1, 2, 5, 10.

ATMs are found all over the city, even the outskirts. Major international cards
are accepted.
