1. Blessed are the POOR IN

- They are those who recognize they
need Gods help.

Mourning= REPENTANCE
Recognizing ones sin should lead to
repentance.
IT IS A LONGING FOR FORGIVENESS & HEALING.

10For the kind of sorrow God wants us to
experience leads us away from sin and results in
salvation. Theres no regret for that kind of
sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks
repentance, results in spiritual death.

NOTE:
A persons motivation for doing good
deeds is what counts in Gods eyes.
The one who seeks praise from others
cannot expect any reward from God. It
should be enough if only God knows
ones good deeds. (Matt. 6:1-4)

A SIMPLE REMINDER
6Watch out! Dont do your good deeds publicly, to
be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from
your Father in heaven.2When you give to someone in
need, dont do as the hypocrites doblowing trumpets
in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their
acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received
all the reward they will ever get.3But when you give
to someone in need, dont let your left hand
know what your right hand is doing.4Give your
gifts in private, and your Father, who sees
everything, will reward you
