Feedback on transmission 1
A trunk cable can be connected between the two GTMU. (Chain topology)
In practice we need two trunk cables and a connector per E1 between the two
trunk cables.
Price of the connector per E1 = 38 Euro. (Provided by the Services team)
The first trunk cable is split in several parts.
One part is connected to the Belgacom DDU. (1 or 2 E1)
A second part is connected to the second trunk. (1 or 2 E1)
A Ethernet cable cannot be directly installed between the two GTMU.
A chain topology does not work with IP over Ethernet.
A router or a switch is required on the site and must be connected to the two GTMU.

Feedback on Configuration and Hardware installatio

Parameter for the LTE can be done by 2 different configurations on the different sectors:
A. L18: the 2 RFU are dedicated to the LTE
Connection right-most RFU : slot CPRI 1 is connected to the LBBP via CPRI
Connection left-most RFU : slot CPRI 1 is connected to the LBBP via CPRI and slot CPRI 0 is connected to the
GTMU (always connected physically at the GTMU but not activated by software parameter)
B. GL18 one RFU is L18 (right-most) and the second GL18 (left most):
Same connection as L18 above for the physical installation, with the G18 & L18 (MSR) activated on left-most
RFU
GL18 can be requested on some sector and are not always for all the sector as the previous Scenario
Description
General reminder:
The Existing G18 RFU will come L18 by parameter setting only (its CPRI will remain connected to the the
GTMU)
The Standard Hardware installation for scenario 1; 3; 4 will be:
Connection right-most RFU : slot CPRI 1 is connected to the LBBP via CPRI
Connection left-most RFU: slot CPRI 1 is connected to the LBBP via CPRI and slot CPRI 0 is connected to the
GTMU (always connected physically
Scenario Adaptation
For all those Scenarios (1; 3; 4) we will install L18 and in some cases GL18 will be activated.
Scenario 4: the existing G18 will become L18 by parameter change only (the G18 CPRI cables remain
connected to the GTMU).
Scenario 2: remove existing 2G cabinet and install a BTS3900 or 3900A ver C cabinet with RFUd, the RFUd is
always connected to LBBP and GTMU.
