SOURCES OF WATER
Water may be available as surface water or groundwater. Water
in the rivers, lakes, and seas is considered surface water. The water
below the ground through the permeable rocks makes up ground
water.
Groundwater flows through permeable rock materials called
aquifers. Impermeable rock materials found underground are called
aquitards.
Groundwater is the major source of fresh water in the
Philippines and in other parts of the world.
