Effective Call (What God Does)
Not church or job but predestine & justified…Rom 8:30
Summons from the KING…Cant be denied, desire response in heart
God crossing COSMIC barriers, uses US to reach LOST…WOW!!!!!!
General Call/Gospel Call (What the STUFF Does)
Any preaching of gospel to anyone, whether respond or not
Anything not INHERENTLY evil can point to God… (fun, creative,)
Our call is to be faithful (present gospel) & provide a HOOK
We hope God will use us & events to do what He did in Acts 16:4
Rom 3:23 Rom 6:23 Rom 5:8…Invitation
Not all gospel calls (ours) are effective...Our job is to explain gospel
message and is GOD’S JOB to make message effective.
How Call Is Received (What God Does)
God must bring CHANGE…Secret act giving SPIRITUAL life…Ezk 36:26
Instantaneous…Regeneration…Recipients are 2 Cor 5:17 (New Creation)
Transformed Heart FORCES Transformed Character and Life (Rom 12)
Response To The Call (What YOU Do With It)
God summoned you, then changed you…
final step is life of faith and repentance
Gospel is personal call, requires a personal response. Repents & Trusts
Knowing facts is NOT enough…..
As (TRUE) Christians, We Realize Our Sin & Repent & Trust (faith)
Christ alone for our salvation
