TRAINING ON SPIRITUAL GIFTS

Talk No. 02:

Gift of Healing

What is healing?
we need to understand healing
from the perspective of our relationship
with God as our father

Healing:
The process of making or becoming
sound or healthy again
(literally meaning to make whole[1])
is the process of the restoration of
health from an unbalanced,
diseased or damaged organism

Our Relationship With God

Jesus sets the tone of our relationship with God. He is our
Father; we His sons and daughters.
Because God is our Father, He will give us what is good for us,
not because He wants to prove that He loves us, but simply
because He loves us.
One of the basic things our Father wants for us is good health,
i.e., the wholeness of manmind, body and emotions.
If we believe that God is love, then it is easy for us to believe
that healing is an ordinary, not extraordinary, sign of His
compassion and love.

Luke 11:1-4 & Luke 11:13

Sacrament of
reconciliation
is strongly
recommended.

There seems to be a
connection between much of
our sickness and our spiritual
or emotional health.
It may be helpful to consider
praying for repentance or
inner healing before praying
for physical healing.

Involved is not only our asking

forgiveness from God but also our
own forgiveness for others.

Inner Healing

(of hurts caused by wrong upbringing or painful experience)

Jesus who is the same yesterday, today and

forever can take the memories of our past, heal
them from the wounds that still remain and affect
our present lives, and fill with His love all these
places in us that have been empty for so long.

We pray for inner healing when we are held down

in any way by the hurts of the past.

Afternoon!

Bible Verse
Luke 11:1-4
ninyo:
Sa adlaw-adlaw hatagi kami sa among kalan-on sa matag-adlaw;
nagapasaylo man sa tanang nakautang kanamo; ug ayaw kami
itugyan ngadto sa panulay.`
Luke 11:13
Busa, kon kamo, bisan sa inyong pagkadautan, mahibalo man

miingon
siya
kaniya,
"Buot
ako;
mamahinlo ka."

Bible Verse
Mark 2:1-12

didto, nga tungod niana wala nay dapit nga ila pang kasudlan, bisan pa
nanag-ingon, Nganong nagasulti man kining tawhana sa ingon? Usa kini

mismo nagpahiluna niya.Sa pagkatinuod, ang pagpanambal gikan sa
kahitas-an.
imong mahi-mo.Unya, pangonsultag mananam-bal, hinumdomi nga hinimo

The clearest example of this in Scripture is found is

Psalm 119. Notice the progression through verses 67,
71, and 75 - "Before I was afflicted I went astray, but
now I obey your word...It was good for me to be
afflicted so that I might learn your decrees...I know, O
LORD, that your laws are righteous, and in faithfulness
you have afflicted me." The author ofPsalm 119was
looking at suffering from God's perspective. It was good
for him to be afflicted. It was faithfulness that caused
God to afflict him. The result of the affliction was so that
he could learn God's decrees and obey His Word.
